Short: Mellow, warm, easy on the fingers, not quite as deep sounding.

Long: I like these strings. I usually go with a bigger Gage, but I wanted to try something a little different this time. To me these strings are mellow. They have a nice warm sounds that resonates well. However they don't have the depth that my heaver gaged strings did. But that being said, they are really easy on the fingers. Not only are they easier on the fingers but barring takes less pressure. I don't play as frequently as I would like to and its nice to know that when I do pick up the guitar and play for 20 minutes or so that my fingers can easily handle the punishment.

I use these on my Martin guitar and it makes it sound absoolutely amazing. I always tune down a half step, and with the strings it's so easy to play. I have used so many different kinds of strings over the past 6 years including Elixar, Martin, and many others. There is no comparison at all. By far the greatest strings ever made

As I've gotten older and the arthriitis in my hands gets a little worse each year, I've had to adjust my playing style and strings. I used to use medium gauge i.e. .012-.054 gauge, on my acoustic. Well, it's gotten to the point that it's just become too hard for me to use heavier gauge strings, so I thought I'd try these. And I love 'em. They still sound great but they're not as hard on my hands as the heavier gauge strings. The string gauges are .010, .014, .020, .028, .040, & .050. I still have the great Ernie Ball sound and chording is so much easier. As I will always say, BALLS ARE BEST!!!

A great product that plays well with excellent sustain, keeps in tune on a good setup, and helps squeeze a good tone out of an entry level acoustic (Fender Redondo).

For my uses, these strings work great. I'm not one of those guys, who thinks its all about the guitar soundboard, or the strings themselves. A mediocre musician, given the best guitar in the world, gets a mediocre sound. A real pro can make almost anything sing. I tend to have a heavy strum, so I wouldnt dare use something less than a 12 for my E string. This gauge works well for me. Just so i don't replace E and B strings twice a day, I tend to use a very flexible pick (for most of my strumming type songs.) If you need to really pluck out a melody, you can turn those flexible picks sideways, and use the back part, which is thicker. I'd never put lights on an acoustic, since I'd just break them off. I've used mediums, but you lose a bit of the brilliance and resonance that way. These strings have some sparkle to them, they hold the tension well, without over stretching, and I definitely like the wound G string. Nice acoustic guitar strings, that will give you a good sound. But sound isn't music. Only you can pull music out of that thing.

I have been searching for a string that matched my Gibson Songwriter Deluxe and Breedlove D25/SRH.

Previously I had used Gibson Phosphor Bronzes but those are hard to get.

Well this string matches up really well. I am very happy with the balance of brightness and tone. I would say these are for players who enjoy upper end sparkle without sacrificing mid-range balance. My guitars have plenty of bass on their own so I typically don't worry about the string providing anything extra there.

I am a rock and worship player predominantly but I also love fingerstyle guitar. These are great for both.

I purchased these strings to replace the ones that came with an inexpensive guitar I bought my daughter. They gave the relatively cheap guitar a wonderfully rich sound.
