This book was perfect for my second grade class! The language isn't too vocabulary heavy, but important vocabulary is used. They were hooked the whole time we were reading it and weeks later still talk about erosion.

Really good book to use when teaching about erosion and earth systems. It was used at a CAST convention by one of the presenters a few years back. I bought it and did the same lesson with my fifth graders and they loved it and learned about the Earth systems involved in these processes.

This is a great book for explaining what erosion is to third graders. The rapid earth changes captivate their attention, so erosion is a little bit harder sell.

This book is okay for teaching 2nd grade about erosion. The illustrations are appealing to kids and the text is fairly easy to understand, though sometimes it was a little too detailed. I would recommend for 2nd grade- up teachers.
