Autumn is given several opportunities to avoid eternal damnation but her one way ticket to Paradise of performing a truly selfless act is not an easy feat for her. What begins as a plot to her plan turns into something Autumn could've ever imagined. As she spends time with Logan and Jayden her walls come tumbling down. Could she possibly be developing true feelings for someone? Is she capable of being of loved? Will Autumn follow through with a selfless act or will she continue to let her past experiences define who she is? Read Dying to Love You to find out!
Autumn Baines has an issue - she keeps dying and each time becomes more painful than the last. In order to stop this cycle Autumn must get someone to love her and do something selfless. Autumn will now be a guide on an African safari park Ukombozi Lodge in The Serengeti.
Logan and his daughter Jayden have recently arrived at the Lodge looking for some time together to mend the pieces of their relationship. Jayden's mom has just passed away and he needs to figure out how to be a father and deal with what Jayden is going through.
When Autumn discovers what is going on with Jayden and Logan will she back away or will she learn what true love really is?
This was a great story about love and what it takes to keep it going and putting other's needs above your own.
Autumn had issues with getting attached to others and was afraid to love. Yet she felt something for Logan and Jayden but was afraid to interfere with their lives as she felt they had enough going on.
I wasn't expecting the situation with Jayden and I am glad that Autumn was able to help her through her scare and it really showed the type of person that Autumn could be. That allowed her to realize she truly was worthy of love and of Logan.
This was a great book and I look forward to more from this author.
Autumn keeps dying and recirculated bacm to Earth in hopes of finding love along with doing a selfless act. She has this one last chance or is doomed to eternal damnation. This life has her being a safari guide in Africa. Her guardian angel, Milo, is her guide and friend and he is determined she get it right this time around! Logan and Jayden (father and ailing daughter) are on her safari tour. Can they be the key to her not spending eternity in damnation?
This was such a good story. I fell in love with Autumn from the start.
I loved that it plays out in Africa (being from South Africa myself) Africa is a magical place to fall in love.
I absolutely love the concept of this book. Having the chance to have a do over, to fall in love and to do one completely selfless act for someone to keep yourself from eternal damnation.
My only critique and the only reason for not giving this book 5 stars was that I felt that the book needed some more body. (Alicia Dean writes so good I wanted it to be longer)
>I am an independent reviewer. This is one story in an anthology and ends in an HEA. Autumn is a young woman who is doomed to continue to die until she can perform a selfless act and have someone lover her. She is now on her third life, as an African safari tour guide. Logan is a single dad to Jayden. Jayden is a surly teen, not over the death of her mother, and Logan’s ex. Jayden is also suffering through cancer treatments.
>The glimpse into the African safari was fun. The descriptions of the surroundings and the animals seemed pretty accurate. Adding what the surroundings smelled like might also bring the safari to life for some readers. Predictably, Autumn targets Logan as her next love interest. She actually starts to fall for him and shares her horrific childhood with him. As a chance comes for Autumn to perform a selfless act, the climax is what the fallout will be for Autumn.
>The relationship between Logan and Autumn went from just meeting to love way too quick. I suppose the excuse of the paranormal aspect could be used, but the love story just didn’t really ring true. The relationship between Autumn and Jayden was really believable. Autumn helps a scared little girl and turns her relationship with her father around.
>The facts of the resulting relationship were weak. How does Autumn leave to be with Logan and Jayden? One of her past lives worked in modeling, but I doubt she could work in that aspect again. I wish there was at least an epilogue addressing some of the logistics of what is next. This book is appropriate for a young adult (16+) to adult audience. There weren’t any sex scenes or profanity in this story. I am giving the story 4 stars. The story was good, but way too short to be complete.
