Smart and Believable
Written by a Lover
of Art, of Music,
Not to mention! -- it is a great love story, a dive into the esoteric philosophical depths of life and death, a political story, a book about the central and critical place of art in our hearts and our lives and our hope for a better planet. It is a book of our time.
I also sense it is the author's deepest statement of so much that he has learned about life, love, and history for 70 some years, a life powerfully shaped by living through the 60's -- there's a passion to really get it all said in the deepest way, to make his truest, most vulnerable, most powerful statement.
And a brief coda: the writing is delicious!
The book was well researched and rich in language, color and excitement. I highly recommend it. I felt like I was there. The characters grabbed my attention, especially the main one, Ara. I also loved everything about the music. The visual descriptions were excellent, with lots of texture. The only things that bothered me were the numerous typos that the editor let slip through.
Yet, I totally recommend this unique book.
Easy reading, one not to be put aside, but immersed in with curiosity.
Thank you for this amazing book.
