It was a fun game that I played by myself. I just worked on the puzzles off and on for two days. I would start on one , think that it’s impossible , then come back to it later and solve in five minutes. When I finished the game , I gave it to my sister to try.

During the 2020 pandemic my household binge on Escape Room games. The Mall, 3rd in series by Professor Puzzle does not disappoint. Like the other 2 (Dead Town and Chaos Casino) this is heavy logic deduction skills. It's similar to the other 2 in that you are trying to locate an exit on a map based on results from the 4 enveloped puzzles.

You can only play it once, however if you use scratch paper you can repackage it up and pass it on to others to enjoy.

The 80s theme is fun, lots of pop culture references, probably my favorite of the 3.

I really enjoyed this game as a a solo player. The puzzles took a but to figure out and also required some knowledge of the 80s. My only criticism is there's not a lot of replay ability. Once you've done it, you've done it.

The game bills itself as a "quick-fire" escape room. The puzzles in the game are puzzles that have no place in an escape room as they are unimaginative and time sucks. There are only four puzzles and while they are on the theme of something you'd find in a mall, they do nothing to advance the story - they are just puzzles. There are no "aha" moments in the solve - just plain work.

At this price, if you enjoy doing a puzzle (think logic puzzles and sudoku style games), you might find this enjoyable, but if you are looking for a game that feels like an escape room, this is not it.

I will say that the production quality of the materials is impressive and the art is well done.
