Wide Bottom Design
FatFish shelters expand the fishable area of a typical pop-up by flaring out at the bottom. This gives you more space to fish, store your gear and move around comfortably inside the shelter.
IceTight/IQ Insulated Fabric
IceTight fabric uses a tightly-woven high thread count to keep warm air inside and the elements out. Our insulated quilted IQ fabric bundles two layers of IceTight with a layer of insulation in between.
The FatFish series uses all-metal hubs and durable fiberglass poles to easily pop open and set up in seconds. This quickly creates a spacious area for comfortable fishing.
Portable & Easy
Everything folds down, rolls up and slides into an oversized duffle carry bag that makes transporting your FatFish ice shelter quick and easy.
Fish more comfortably with more people and more ice gear in the FatFish 949 - the world's first wide bottom pop-up portable ice fishing shelter. The FatFish 949 is designed to give you up to 80 percent more fishable area, while offering easy set-up and portability. The entire line of FatFish ice shelters are equipped with all metal ball and socket design and larger diameter poles, resulting in a stronger and more durable shelter.

As far as function , it has been outstanding. Have used it in sub zero weather with a Big Buddy heater on low and was plenty warm . Some have complained of condensation , but the simple cure is open vents and keeping one door half unzipped . After doing that I have never had an issue with condensation .
One thing that I found worked for me with this shack is that I use the ice anchors on the 4 points where you pull out the sides . Instead of rope to tie it down , I use bungee cords . In the high winds the bungees have a little give and allow a little flex that a solid line will not give you . Also a quicker setup. As is I can put this up in 5 min by myself ( I use a drill for the anchors) . and maybe 10 minutes tops tearing down and packing up .
In all I would get another if this one ever gives up the ghost . Will stick with uninsulated since I have no plans of sleeping in it and it is plenty warm while out on the ice , even in -15 temps . Was the best xmas present I got last year , and was purchased through Amazon , arriving within a few days of purchase .
If you like ice fishing with 2-3 other people , this shack will suit you fine . I would recommend it to anyone going out in a 2-4 person group .
