After I take a whole day to run the wires completely done, then install a esky back up camera, and the camera lense was defect, I want to replace just the camera only because I don't want to take out the wires camera to return it, and then have to run the wire back again? Is that possible? Also the wire already been cut to extended, it's not long enought for my truck.

Been 2 months and so far so good. Fogs up a bit when it rain, night time vision is ok. I compared it to my 2017 Camry camera and it's only slightly worst overall. Easy to install but has to drill a larger hole to feed the wire through because the OEM wire has a large plastic section in it. Would have been better to have a connector about 6" from camera so you can feed that thru a smaller hole but still have it inside the trunk and not get wet. Solid metal frame that feels very sturdy. Camera has nice adjustable angle. I also noticed the image is more magenta/pink fixed that by adjusting the color using my Pioneer head unit's "camera settings". Color is much better now. Hoping it lasts for a while.

UPDATE: I'm changing my review to 5 stars now. I ended up having to change out stereo systems today. Turns out the issue wasn't with the camera. The camera now comes on automatically when put into reverse. The picture is clear and it seems to be a decent product for an affordable price. I will update if anything changes.

Looks like I can only give this 2 stars, even though I had high hopes for it. I had my camera installed today and the most I can say is that the picture is decently clear and looks nice on my vehicle. The problem is that in order to use it I have to switch the mode of my stereo to "aux in" and then it works. Needless to say that isn't going to be something I will have the patience to do everytime I need to back up. It is very dissapointing.

I can only give this product 2 stars because when i put the vehicle in reverse the camera does not come on. I have to change the radio to aux and then press play for the camera to work. Maybe it's just my radio but this is very inconvenient. That being said it does have a clear view and it looks nice on the truck. I sure hope I will hear of a fix for this issue.

UPDATE: I have changed my review to 5 stars because I have never experienced a customer support team like Esky. They contacted me regarding my review and gave me instructions to make sure the product was installed correctly. After contacting the installer, I can confirmed that is was and I let the Esky customer service know and gave them the details of my particular radio and they told me that there was a compatibility problem causing the issues. As I alststed in my first post, the picture is great and the item looks nice on the vehicle but because of the compatibility issue with my radio they offered to give me a complete refund and allow me to keep the camera. I couldn't be more satisfied. If I need to buy another one, I will definitely buy this one but I will confirm it is compatible with my radio first.

Works as advertised. The hardest part was running the wires. Here's basically how I hooked it up. Remove door paneling/kick plates where you are going to run the wires. Attach license plate frame camera. Remove the left license plate light and ran the wires into the lift gate. From the back of the lift gate, ran the wires through the rubber boot on the top left. (This part was a little tricky. I used an electrician's fish tape. ) This got my wires inside the 4Runner to the entry point near the rear dome light.

At this point, the included wire for the positive and negative leads on the power ran out, so I used my own 20 gauge hookup wire. The negative lead I connected to a common ground that my taillights were using. The positive lead I ran along the factory wire harness on the left (easy to see once the panel and kick plates are removed) and connected to the reverse wire in the back of my head unit. I also ran the video wire like this too. The I ran another short wire connecting the 4runner reverse light (red and blue wire on 99 4runner) to the positive lead going back to the head unit. I used quick-splice connections for this. Put the door panels back/license plate light/kick panels back on, and you are good to go.

So now, when I put the car into reverse, the reverse light comes on, gives power to the camera and the radio knows I'm in reverse, and switches to the camera view.

Took about a couple of hours. If you don't want to mess with running wires, you might want to get the wireless transmitter. My only grip was with the wires for the power. They seem very fragile, and could have been a little longer.

I bought this because I liked the license plate frame integration. Glad I did, it's awesome! Pretty easy to install, the cord could be a little longer (its about 10 inches. It barely made it to the existing hole to pass thru the rear door of my van. It would be nice if there was a notch in the back of the frame for the cord t run under (I made one myself > see photo) I felt like the cord would be stressed if I tightened the frame any more, so I gave it some room. I used another purchasers instructions on the wiring. Very happy with my purchase!!

I like everything about it so far. Haven't tried it in the dark yet as this is being used in conjunction with a complete stereo installation and just got it working yesterday, but the car hasn't moved yet. Not sure if it is the resolution or the focus isn't dead on, but it isn't perfectly clear. It's fine for a backup camera being viewed through a double din Android stereo headunit... Only real negative I could come up with is that maybe they can do something to improve the routing of the camera cable around the frame. I ended up notching the license plate and wrapping the notch with some fabric tape so it wouldn't rub.

The frame is heavy and seems well made, the picture during the day is OK at best, don't expect HD quality here. The night picture if very bright... I have LEDs for my tag lights and that in combination with the infrared washes out the picture some... You can still see what's going on and honestly I'd rather have it like it is than to have it too dark.

Lastly, the video RCA cable that came with the tag was not long enough to reach the front of my Expedition so I ended up having to run out and find another cable along with an RCA barrel connector.

Great little camera for the money. I wish it didn't have the built in guides on the video output, though, because my head unit has them and they are crisper than the built in ones. Oh well.

I purchased this back-up camera a week ago and when arrived installed it upon my 2002 F-150. Installation takes 2-3 hours if done right and even faster if greater experience ( I myself am novice but with the right instructions and tools I am able to complete tasks). Frame itself is very sturdy and after some off-roading it still functions the same. The camera hooked up to my kenwood ddx6702s and functioned as it should. The only problems that I've encountered is the fact that the image in the daytime makes certain things pink as other users have stated and the image sometimes gets lines throughout the whole picture. These problems don't affect me personally but it might to other consumers. Otherwise the camera works great at night and in the rain. When installing I used 3/8 flex tubing, zipties, electrical tape, jb quikweld, and a different rca cord that included a positive wire connection to hook up to the reverse cable on my head unit making installation easier. Overall I am satisfied with the camera, the only things I wish was different was a different rca cable with reverse wire connection attached included in the package, more detailed instructions, and improvements on the image. I would recommend to all wishing to install this camera to have the right tools and accessories to make installation easier. I would purchase again and recommend to all looking for an inexpensive option for a reverse camera.
