Product Description

Test your drinking water in our professional lab for over 170 health-related contaminants including Volatile Organic Compounds, Essential Elements, Heavy Metals and Inorganic Chemicals. Our lab has the equipment, environmental conditions, and professional staff you need to get accurate results. We have been in the water testing business for nearly 30 years. You simply fill the bottles with your tap water and return them to our lab using the same box you received with the test kit. Within about 6 business days you will receive an email containing the results of your water test along with recommended treatment suggestions if a problem was found. The one family of contaminants that we have you test for yourself are pathogenic bacteria, which, if present, can cause infectious diseases. That's because bacteria are sensitive to temperature and time in transit. We include a very accurate self-test kit that was originally designed for poor tropical regions of the world where nearby labs are not present. There isn't any way a homeowner can ship bacteria samples back to a lab, even using an overnight delivery service, in a way that can control the temperature during transit. The self-test kit is the best way to get accurate results. All of the other testing is performed in our lab using EPA testing methodology. This assures you are getting the most accurate test results possible. We have performed over 65,000 drinking water tests. This has enabled us to determine which parameters have the greatest probability of showing up in drinking water. This is called indicator testing and is used by regulators to specify which parameters labs should test for. If you have a problem with one of these indicator parameters and you treat for it, you are also treating for other related contaminants that are not explicitly being tested for. This saves you money while still providing you with the vital information you need. See the current full list: drinkingwaterspecialists.com/bfbtest/

Bacteria is tested at home. The rest is tested at the lab from the water samples you send in.
Tests over 100 contaminants for metal, inorganics, and volatile organic compounds.
The results took a week and seemed accurate.
What I did not like was that it was missing a shipping label and they did not even mention any address to use.
They also had the wrong date in the report, though they sent me the corrected report later -- without explanation.
Minor omission and error, perhaps, but not expected for a laboratory testing.

Very, very, thorough water testing. Instructions are clear and easy to follow: fill two vials and ship them back to the lab. In about two weeks, you are emailed a detailed list of all the possible contaminants (with ppm levels) in your water and some suggestions to deal with them. They include a bacteria test as well that you complete at home. Testing included metals, minerals, salts, volatile organic compounds, fertilizers, etc. EVERYTHING.

My only minor complaint is the time it took to complete the test. If you're in a hurry, you might consider local testing. That said, I would use this service again.

Amazing customer service. Very reliable. My home bac test was a bit wonky - as I wasnt able to keep it between 70 and 90 degrees - I called them and they helped me navigate the results. Really happy about my experiance. They also don't go all salesmen on you. That was a huge relief and blessing. They are just cool.
