I purchased this both for myself and another individual for one reason alone: the pages are sturdy enough to write notes on without damaging pages. I actually tried out several bibles when standing in a bible store to see which one had sturdy enough pages to handle lots of page turning and lots of use including writing. I use a regular ball point pen, no gel pens and there is no bleeding. The ink stays right where it is and handles underlining and notations in the margine. When I jumped off a cliff in following God end of March beginning of May, I really needed a bible that would hold up to how much I began to study and read. This bible is exactly EXACTLY what I didn't know I needed till I found it. I bought the NKJV of this bible, and even though it says teen bible, it can be used for any age. Don't let that deter you from buying it if you are older like me and really are ready to use your bible as you study to show yourself approved to YHWH.
