"An excellent addition to our surgical literature, filling a void that has been present: too long...The real value of this book is its ability to convey fundamental surgical concepts and techniques in a simple, clear, and efficient way...It does so in a multimedia style at a cost that's hard to beat."―Archives of Dermatology

I think while this book is a great resource, for the price of $50 it isn't worth it. There are plenty of free resources and YouTube videos that are just as helpful. That said, the information is put together in a nice introductory fashion so if you are planning on going into surgery, its a nice resource to have before starting the rotation. It will make you look more polished before entering the operating room
The reason I took off a star is the product remains too expensive especially if it is geared toward medical students when most of this information on knot and suturing tying is available on the internet and other resources.
Being prepared for the operating room will give you that extra confidence that will help you win points with your attending. Try and obtain some extra tie material from the scrub techs after a case and practice whenever you have down time.
