Highest resolution e-reader display
Kindle Voyage features a high-resolution 300 ppi display for crisp, laser quality text. The micro-etched glass screen is crafted to eliminate glare and feel like paper to the touch.
Light that adjusts with you
Kindle Voyage can be read in bright sunlight or total darkness—and it's smart enough to know the difference. With an adaptive front light, Kindle Voyage senses the light in your environment, and changes the setting to the ideal brightness.
Effortless page turns
PagePress allows you to turn the page without lifting a finger. Simply apply pressure on the bezel to turn the page, and PagePress will provide a silent haptic response for consistent and immediate feedback.
Remarkably thin design
At just 7.6mm thin, you can comfortably hold Kindle Voyage in one hand for long reading sessions.
Flip through books while saving your place
Page Flip makes it easy to find pictures, charts, maps and even your notes and highlights from different parts of a book. While you swipe to other pages or zoom out to see page thumbnails, Page Flip automatically saves the page you’re reading, pinning it to the side of your screen so you’ll never lose your place.
Sharp, dark text
Enjoy text that reads like the printed page. Our fonts, such as Bookerly, have been hand-tuned at the pixel level for maximum readability.
Export and share notes
It’s now easy to export notes and highlights from a book to your e-mail, so you can always have them on-hand for reference. Receive your notes both as an easily printable PDF that’s ready to bring to your book club, and as a simple file you can open in your favorite spreadsheet app.
Read comfortably with one hand
Lighter than a paperback, comfortably hold Kindle in one hand for those times when you can’t put the book down.
Lose yourself in a book
By design, Kindle is purpose-built for reading and creates a sanctuary so you can lose yourself in a book. Unlike tablets and phones, Kindle doesn’t distract you with social media, emails, and text messages.
Won't tire your eyes in the dark
Unlike back-lit tablets that shine in your eyes, Kindle guides light toward the surface of the display with its built-in front light so you can read comfortably for hours without eyestrain. Adjust your screen's brightness for great reading in any light.

Comment added 4/24/16: With the announcement of the new Kindle Oasis, it's now clear that a Voyage replacement is not exactly what Amazon had in mind. Rather Amazon has introduced a new higher-end Kindle and seems to be retaining the Voyage in the Kindle lineup, at least for now. I'm therefore changing the title of this review from "A good value (just know that a new Voyage is likely just around the corner)", to the present title. The text of the review remains as originally written.
I have had my Kindle Voyage since it was first introduced, and I also purchased this leather cover at that same time (but in red, not black). I don't have this particular charger, but I have several of the equivalent models that I've accumulated over the years from previous Kindle purchases.
Without going into great detail on the merits of the Voyage (click on the link in the first paragraph for customer reviews), I will say that I use it every day, it replaced my PaperWhite (first generation) and I prefer the Voyage over the PaperWhite, the screen is very high quality and uniformly illuminated, the battery life is excellent, and it holds as many books as I could possibly want to carry with me (as I write this, I have over 1000 books on my Voyage, and it is roughly half full).
It's also slightly smaller than the PaperWhite (but with the same size screen), and therefore lighter to hold, and it's styled and finished a bit nicer.
It's a terrific e-reader and I've never regretted purchasing it.
With respect to the Protective Leather Cover , I have learned to love the 'origami' design, and I use it often to prop up the Kindle when reading while eating. I had owned the previous book-style case for my PaperWhite and was initially hesitant to get the origami case, but I'm glad that I did. It is high quality and looks great, even after over a year of daily use.
This particular package also includes a 5W Power Adapter . If purchased separately I think that the adaptor is overpriced (see my review to it). But if you're getting it as part of this bundle, then it's just fine.
There is no reason to purchase this bundle unless you are Amazon Prime - the savings in price, which are considerable, are only given to Prime members. But if you're a Prime member and interested in getting this particular model of Kindle, along with the case and charger, then this is an excellent value. EDIT: The special pricing for this bundle was originally offered only to Prime members but it is now available to any purchasers.
(One more thing to note - if purchased separately, the Voyage is offered in both Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi plus 3G models. This bundle includes the Wi-Fi model and it doesn't seem to be offered for the Wi-Fi plus 3G model. So if you want to be able to use your Kindle away from Wi-Fi networks and still sync with the Amazon cloud and purchase and download books, this won't work for that).
The only reservation I would mention regarding the Voyage is this - it is predicted that Amazon will be introducing a new replacement for the Voyage at any time, and anyone considering purchasing a Voyage today should be aware that this is likely to happen. (Some crazy people, such as myself, will probably order the new Voyage when it comes out, even though their current Voyage is still working just fine. Go figure). In fact, it's probably safe to guess that one of the reasons Amazon is offering this discounted bundle is their pending announcement of the new replacement for the Voyage. So they're doing this to help clear out the old inventory. Which is fine. Those who take advantage of it will be getting a great deal.
Over the years, the landscape feature has been increasingly shunted into the background of the Fire versions. In the Voyage version, it has been ditched unceremoniously. The reason, I suspect, it that the boys want us to hold the Voyager like love-handles. No way can one use that grip to read “landscape.”
Kindle has not admitted to the obliteration in its product description. Only after receiving the object does one discover the gaping void. Tearfully, I have returned the product. For not coming clean about the suppression, I give Voyage one star.
