I chose this rating even though I have no cancer, and am just now taking this tea. I have done great research and read many reviews and a few books to get the story of this tea. I really enjoyed seeing and listening to Rene Caisse herself, on Youtube in an interview of many years passed. It was amazing. If you have not seen and heard this truly magnificent and selfless woman, please go to You tube and listen to, and see her. I lost a sister to cancer in 1995, and a sister to diabetes in 2012. Had I known about this tea, and the cancer curing and diabetes curing properties, they may still be with us today. My husband and I are taking this tea after I researched it. My daughter in law had part of one breast removed due to cancer. I bought the book, "Essiac" for her and my son to read before taking the tea. Do your homework and read this book to know why and what, the protocol, and expectations are when you start this tea for a specific illness, or just maintaining your health. Not only would I recommend this book to everyone who wants to stay healthy, I am buying books to give to others to spread the word about this apparently remarkable cure for cancer as well as other diseases.

The book provides little value to those who have gained some knowledge of Essiac tea already. The book uses about 15 pages to describe four ingredients and how to prepare essiac tea. A couple of websites on the internet offers you much more (free) information than the book does. The book does tells readers a bit about Rene Caisse - the creator of the Essiac tea. But you can find more information on the internet. And the book has two chapters written by others, which do not add much value either. It is weird that the author writes a chapter on lifestyle and cancer, which has nothing to do with Essiac tea. I wish the author could find more to write on Essiac tea but not on off topics. Those who would like a complete picture of Essaic tea would be much better off buying books by Sheila Snow.

We have now been brewing our own since getting the book. It has a kinda woody taste, as it should when you look at the ingredients. We added a couple of extra herbals to the mix to gain some extra fighting power. I would highly recommend that before even starting this, take a week and get the lower bowels cleaned out. If the walls of the intestines are covered, then there is no way to get this absorbed properly. Your local health food store can guide you. If you are fighting the big C, get some Seagate - Grape Seed Extract caps. Causes apoptosis of the C cells!!

So I loved this book where I could read up on the story of an RN named Renee Caisse (her last name is Essiac spelled backwards!) who found out about this from a Canadian Shaman and she tried to bring it out to the world and save so many people from deadly cancer! But of course the FDA and other cancer groups wouldn’t allow her to get it out to the mainstream America and the World at large because it would take a huge chunk of Big Pharma’s profits! It makes me sick!

This book will give you good advice about a cure for cancer. If your kidneys are damaged be a little careful about taking Essiac tea as burdock root is toxic to cancer but may be too much for your kidneys.
