I just want on a trip to Vegas and I purchase this scale to take with me so I can make sure that I did not go over the weight for the flight, however when it was time to go back home, I went to use my scale and the scale would not turn on. When I go home I checked my scale and realize that the battery was gone in the scale already. I would think that the battery would last longer than a week but maybe it just me. Beside that I still like me scale and it works great when they battery works.

We tried to weigh a suitcase that was on the heavier side and the triangle-shaped metal thingy connecting the strap to the scale bent out of shape and the strap fell off of it and the suitcase fell onto the ground. We bent it back but for something that was designed to carry weight, this is a design oversight.

I didn't test it for accuracy against another scale, but our suitcases have always been within about a pound of the limit. (Even if you don't strictly observe the limit, the scale lets you aim for that sweet spot of getting extra weight but the person behind the counter doesn't care to bother you about your luggage being 0.7kg overweight.)

EDIT: The manufacturer contacted me about the defective product and offered a free replacement, so I am awarding an extra star (four instead of three) for the diligent customer service.

I'm always having the problem of a bag overweight and trying to move things between bags at the airport on the return trip. Not anymore this is awesome and my both my bags were under the weight limit.

I'm the one who always used the bathroom scale at home and my bags were great going their but coming back on the return flight one bag was always to heavy. Not anymore, this travels well and my bags weights were equaled out, excellent product to have with you when you're traveling.

I ordered this scale due to all the high reviews. The item works, but it's not 100% practical. If you have light bags 30lbs it works as intended. However when you use for Larger luggage 50lbs or more the design flaws show itself. 50lbs dead weight is hard to handle. A 50lbs barbel is easy because bar spreads weight out. It's too Short lengthwise so you struggle to use the short base with two hands, heavier bags, and see the display.

The display was not good. Every hotel I went to had lamps, not overhead lighting. It was a challenge to see the display in dimly lit rooms with the lamps by the bed or office desk.It works but it's not ideal.

I am going with backlit design and longer base like MY Carbon Digital Scale.Luggage Scale MY CARBON Digital Scale and Hanging Scale 110 lb/ 50KG Digital Gram Scale Luggage Weight Scale with Backlit Portable Scale Digital for Travel Luggage Home Use and Christmas Gifts

Lightweight and portable, this scale is a definite must have if you travel. Why? Just come to my house when we are all getting ready to catch a flight and watch us fight for the bathroom scale. It is a goat rodeo!!! Plus, I don't have a lot of confidence in the accuracy of my bathroom scale. It is awkward to get my luggage on the scale and see the weight of my checked bag.
This can be carried on or checked, it is small enough to put in any full bag. You can check pounds or kilograms. It has an easy to read digital screen. What I like most about the scale is the strap. It feels very secure when I lift my luggage to weigh it, I don't have any concern at all about it breaking and sending my luggage crashing to the floor.
I use this to take my trips overseas and it saves me a ton of money in overweight luggage fees. Very reliable, Well built. An absolute traveling necessity.

The product is a great deal for the price. I compared a lot of other weighing scales from different companies and bought this as it looked the best for the price.

The packaging was nice and it matches the description on amazon perfectly.

I have tested this on a 2 lbs pack and a 20lbs suitcase and it gives the exact weight.

The whole product is made of plastic , but seems to be very strong and does not look cheap at all.

The strap is of nylon and has a metal clip to attach it to the hook and the thing to be weighed it to be hanged on the strap.

The product comes with a warning "the scale should not bear weight for extended period of time",not sure what would happen to it I do that by unknowingly. I guess that is the only possible down side to it.

The added feature is the Temperature Sensor. I don't find it to be of much use. But if you are looking for a temperature sensor as well, then it gives the accurate temperature in Celsius and fahrenheit , I compared it with my house thermostat.

I had a previous luggage scale that was a pain to use. I had to make sure that the strap went in one way in order to read the scale. But not this one!

This is a simple design and I have confirmed dead-on accuracy. It is a nice feeling to know that when you show up at the ticket counter, the weight of your bag when THEY weigh it is EXACTLY what this scale measured as well. No bad surprises.

It is very compact and can be stowed in almost any luggage pocket for quick use. The strap is robust, and battery life is....well.... I don't know because I've been using it for more than a year, and the battery life is still near perfect.

Strongly recommended...especially for travelers!

Guessing how heavy your bag is, is a guessing game. I always thought a travel scales were expensive - but not this one! If you're like me, then when you come back - your suitcase is heavier, leaving you with questionable how much can I fit on the way there. This takes ALL the guessing out of it. Small and lightweight so you can pack it to check your weight before you come home. Easy to use - just slip the strap through and hook it back and press the button! It also has a temperature reading which I didn't know about which was very cool. Definitely would recommend this product.

I think I got a dud. Lots of people seem to like theirs, but mine never gets the same reading twice. When I weighed myself with and without my suitcase to count the difference (the mostly infallible old-school way) I got the same number every time, versus when I used this device three times in a row, I got a different number each time - and I tried this trick with several different objects (suitcases, duffle bags, hand weights, purses, shoes, etc...). This thing just sucks.

I've only used it once, and it performed pretty well. Its bigger than I expected, just the right size, so it will fit on small or big hands. Very simple to use, feels ergonomic enough. The materials are OK, its actually kind of elegant but taking a closer look you can see it is cheaply done. But its $8, come on, I was not expecting an Apple finish. It is accurate, I compared it with the airport weigh and it was exactly accurate. Overall it gets the job done for a casual traveler, I don't think it will break.

On the other hand it does come with a thermometer, which honestly I find no use for in the context of weighing luggage... it's kind of funny. Why would they put a thermometer on this device? Can't imagine why. The Chinese are funny people.

No reason to not recommend it unless you're looking for something in particular or a deluxe, fancy, expensive looking item.
