Remote Control For Outlets

This is a great device. You can turn on or off anything that you plug into this remote outllet. It is easy to use. Just plug the remote outlet into a regular outlet, then plug anything into the remote outlet. The remote turns it on or off. There are four extra buttons on the remote, that are for other devices if you add more remote outlets. The remote takes a LR23A 120 V battery which is easy to find.

not having used anything like it before

Okay. Now I can't say this will do the same for YOUR marriage, but it sure helped mine. I happen to prefer either natural light, or the dark.. I can't stand most lights. My husband is the exact opposite. So he turns on every light in the house. I can live with that, but he never turns them off. He will put on this one light where I sit and use my laptop or watch t.v., sit on the sofa, and promptly fall asleep. Drives me insane. I got sick of sitting in the room with the light on for him, and he's not even awake. So, I bought this nifty little device. I was skeptical that it would work, not having used anything like it before.

The Etekcity Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Switch works fabulously. You don't even need to point the clicker towards the outlet. I now, from my sofa, can very easily either turn on, or turn off, the light that has been the bane of my existence. This makes my evenings so much better. Now they have this item for sale, with either one, or several in the package. It's more cost effective to buy a package with more than one, however, for me, I don't have other lights or items that I would need to use remotely.

It is easy to install, no need to worry that you're not an electrician. You simply plug it in, and you're good to go. It also comes with the battery it needs to operate the remote. Count me as one happy customer.

Works great, like the RF feature but it's a bit bulkly

My Onkyo receiver gets pretty warm in my entertainment system so I bought this to remotely turn on/off a small 5" cooling fan I installed in the cabinet. I like the RF capability so I can plug this module in out of site behind the cabinet. My only complaint is the size and why it gets 4 out of 5 stars. It's a bit bulky so if your planning to plug this into a UPS or power strip, keep space in mind. The top gets slightly warm but that's normal for anything that is plugged in. I must use a little power at all times to be able to detect your remote signal.

Shipping was fast, customer service was responsive, in that I mean they followed up on my order to ensure I was happy with my purchase. In all, it's a keeper.

Perfect remote control with GREAT range! I need more!

This remote and switch is perfect. I bought it because the z-wave remote receptacle and fancy (and expensive) controls in my house have been unreliable since day one. I finally got sick of it and bought this. Not only is the price a great deal for the functionality, the range is great. I use it to turn on/off a sound machine in our room at night so I don't have to get out of bed after watching TV, and it's perfect. The only thing I wish was a little different is the receiver/outlet part. It's quite big, but that may be why the reception is so good. I've probably turned this thing on and off 100 times and it has never failed. I will get a few more for other things around the house, and it's great that the remote will control 2 more already. Nice!

Works As it Should

This works just fine, but isn't exactly what I need.

I bought it because I moved the bed in the master bedroom and the bed lamps are far from the doorway. If I use this to turn the lamp on while walking into the room it works great! However, when I want to turn the lamp off I have to either bring the remote to the bed and then remember to put it near the door in the morning; or turn the lamp off at the bed and remember to turn it on in the morning and then turn it off with the remote across the room. Or, get up before turning the lamp off and walk across the room to the remote to turn it off and then walk back to the bed in the dark.

I probably should have bought one with two remotes. Still, it is a dandy little gadget that works as it should, but not exactly what I need.

Solved A Tricky Problem

We have a very difficult to reach outlet that is controlled by a switch on the other side of the room. The outlet is behind a book shelf and very difficult to reach. Our router is also plugged in there (tl;dr it has to be right there for various reasons) so turning off the switch kills the internet. This remote outlet control has been a blessing. We have a lamp plugged into this with the remote positioned on the wall using mounting putty. Problem solved.

This outlet has never malfunctioned on us. We have had absolutely no problem with it whatsoever. 100% A+ 7/10 perfect score
