Kailah's strange dreams are the beginning of her blossoming immortal powers. She will be a nurse soon and doesn't think she has time to learn more about her powers or the prophecy that says she is the key to ending the war between the immortals and 2 different vampire races. That is until she realizes that her boss is a vampire and it seems that all 3 races want Kailah on their side to destroy the other races. Which of the races want to teach her and which want her just to have the power to destroy the others? Throw in a Hot vampire love interest and jealous ghost ex fiance and you have a book that makes you want more of Candy Crum.
real fast but also with loss, heartache and responsibility beyond her years.
Her powers, as she becomes aware of them is impressive and her understanding of what is happening is limited.
Even in these circumstances she grows into her role real fast and with a strength that you want to see in your main protagonist.
The other characters, especially the evil one's is well fleshed out and their evil apparent.
Their motivation is explored but it does nothing to make them less evil and thus the reader is not left in an emotional ambivalent state.
The story is well told and progresses at a pace that keeps you turning the pages.
The end is a real cliff hanger.
And I am sure that most paranormal romance lovers will adore this book
A 4 * read and one I would recommend to all lovers of this genre.
And, this is a great story. from beginning to end it has an enticing sense of twists and turns with a very engrossing style. I really couldnt take my eyes away from it. The interaction bwetween the main character and Aeric should be enough to keep most people interested but there is a bit more to it than that. This is one of those stories that does more than just tell you a story; it tells of the what and the why. The writer has told of what the particular type of magic or ability is, how it is used and why they can use it (the immortals). for people who can appreciate this extra level of care, im sure you are going to love this. it is very inventive.
Lastly, about the title of the review- great writing is great writing- what i mean by this is that this is one of those stories. i dont think it matters if you prefer erotica or romance or horror, it is great writing so im sure you are going to like it no matter what your preference is.
