This is a beautifully written and edited book about a post- apocalyptic Earth and the people and creatures who are left to survive on a dying planet. At first, I thought this would be another vampire vs. human story- which I happen to like. It turned out, however, to be so much more! I won't give too many spoilers- as this story is meant to unfold slowly, just as the humans in this tale slowly become aware that their mortal enemies... the vampires and the Icrathari are actually humanities saviors!

Positives- The writing is smooth and polished- the editing is perfect- the story is well told, researched and executed. Really, this is professionally perfect.

Negatives- none.

I look forward to any and all sequels to what promises to be a classic, in scifi, post-apocalyptic fiction.

Well done! 5 stars!

Eternal Night is a completely new adventure from Jade Kerrion's other works and I am delighted that I am being taken on a new journey.

It is set a thousand years in the future, where the world has been decimated and the Icrathari have built a moving city to protect the humans from the outside elements.

A wonderful love story unfolds between Jaden – a human – and Ashra the Icrathari Queen. As the story unfolds the humans, vampires and Icrathari come to terms with each other.

There is everything you want in a great story. Love, intrigue, action, betrayal and understanding.

I eagerly await to see if there is a the next adventure in this series.

Walki's Review

In 'Eternal Night', readers are taken into the future, to the city of the Eternal Night, where humans live, plagued by the Night Terrors (vampires and Icrathari). Every full moon night, vampires come to the human village for the cull. They take five-year-old children to the Malum Turris, their stronghold that dominates land and life. The four Icrathari are the ones in control. Unlike the vampires, they have wings to fly with, and have existed for millennia.

One 27-year-old human, named Jaden Hunter, kills two vampires one night of full moon and is taken to the evil tower. He is the reincarnation of Rohkeus, an Icrathari assassinated a thousand years ago, the lost love of the Icrathari queen Ashra. But Jaden has sworn to protect his half sister, five-year-old Khiarra, the child prophesised to stop the Night Terrors.

The story is written from two points of view: Jaden's and Ashra's. Each is a side of the coin known as Aeternae Noctis, the humans and the Night Terrors. Their views on the situation are obviously opposite, even if there is more to it than the humans know. Each step the human and the Icrathari take towards each other develops the characters and the plot in a vivid fashion, ensnaring the readers more tightly in this desolated world in the future.

With 'Eternal Night' Jade Kerrion wrote an enthralling novel and created a world full of possibilities, despite –or because of– the dystopian background, if characters and readers choose to believe. Five stars, because I was fascinated by the Icrathari's wings. Demons or angels?

This is a good one. I definitely enjoyed this one out of the set! It's futuristic. And the City of Eternal Night, where humans are terrorized by the vampires and Icrathari. On the full moon- no, there's no wolfies here either- vampires cull the herd, yes the humans. They take kids to their place of scariness and the Icrathari in control. Ickies- yes I called them that because I give everything nick names- are kinda like vamps but they have these freaking awesome wings. I want some.

Jaden is human. And he kills two vampires on the full moon. He is then captured and taken to the evil crazy place. I keep forgetting the name, and I'm not sure how to pronounce it *giggle* He is supposed to be the reincarnation of this really important Icky warrior that was assassinated forever ago... He is the love of the queen Ashra- the Icky leader. Yes it sounds so bad to say Icky- but sometimes my brain works in mysterious ways. LOL But Jaden will stop at nothing to protect his 5 year old half sister, Khiarra. Oh and she's also supposed to be the one who will stop all the terrors going on around town.

This story is well written. You can't hate Ashra, you get her side, but you'll love Jaden, you get his side too. This double POV is described as Aeternae Noctis (thank you kindle for all those highlight buttons), which each side is the human and the Night Terror. I won't lie, this is really cool concept when it's explained, and this book definitely had me turning the pages quickly to figure out who was what, and what happened, and who dies, and yeah, I really liked this one too.
I really can't wait to see where this one is going to go from here. If it goes anywhere. I hope it does. This world is fascinating and major props for the author's seriously good imagination! 5 PAWS!!
