Vampires are born not made, always born male and in search of their female human counterpart which they join only when the female calls to them. Usually before the Vampire is 100 and the females are 30.
Brianna has been "diagnosed" with leukaemia and her first physical introduction to Ethan is when she wakes from her dream to find him killing the "fallen" vampire that has been haunting her in her dreams while she has been yearning for Ethan. There is an instant attraction, and an uncontrollable desire to be possessed and owned by Ethan. As Brianna is weak from her diagnosis Ethan strengthens and heals her with his blood before completely possessing her, as vampire possession is meant to be passionate, fierce and uncontrollable.
The last aspect of the bonding process is the "mating ceremony" where all vampires yet to find their mate look on. It is a fierce possession with each of the three love scenes, a lot in a short book and I'm not complaining, become all the more erotic and sexual and fulfil all females desires out there that fantasise about a vampire's love with the sexiness of Ethan, and then, that final bite. Not for the fainthearted or those after sweet loving in this book
The epilogue allows for Brianna to have her human wedding and an opening for the remainder of the 3 Hale brothers to find their own mate in the existing following stories, which I look forward to reading if they are anything like the first as I have already purchased them...Sexy vampire brothers can's say no to that!
The Vampires in this book reminds of the The Carpathians in Christine Feehan Dark Series. The Coalition Vampires hunt the evil Vampires who have fallen and are lost to blood lust. The Coalition Vampires must find their soul mates to obtain the other half of of their soul. They have to wait for the human female to call to them. If the female doesn't call to them before she turn 30 she will die. The Coalition vampires have great paranormal powers, they are true Vampires and not these new modern bottle blood drinking Vampires. I was very impressed with J. S. Scott ability to craft a well rounded, erotic romance in about 60 pages. I have read 5 books in last week and Only one was Great!! the other four were horrible. So I am really Impressed with Ethan's Mate by J.S. Scott and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ IT.
I look forward to reading about all of Ethans brothers as they also find their mates...
For a very short story this author did a fine job putting it altogether.
Great cast of characters, very SEXY and romantic, and it even has some action...
I have recommended this to several of my friends already and I also recommend it to all others who enjoy a good
ADULT paranormal romance...
Happy Reading Ya'll......... ENJOY... Bravo to J.S. Scott, job well done!

Book? This is not a book! It was a short story with no depth in the plot or characters. Find her, take her, over. I wouldn't even give it one star.Published 5 days ago by Kathy Mc

This was a good read for those into Vampire related romance. I don't rate on historical accuracy but on how the story flows, whether it is believable and interesting. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Cheryl Bond
