The one thing I will say against it is that it seems to get hot pretty fast.

I run off of gigabit Google fiber at home and wanted to get more benefit with my Apple devices. I did a bandwidth test with this adapter out of the box and got 448 vMbps down and 382 Mbps up... and that was with a CAT5 ethernet cable. Their specs say to use CAT6 if you want to reach Gigabit speeds. I've had 2 other adapters that serve this function but neither of them come close to the speed of these Uni adapters. I also just did a bandwidth test on my iPad Pro and got 396 Mbps download and 421 Mbps upload. Sadly, however, when i put it in my Macbook Pro (2019 2.3GHZ 8 Core Intel I9). It showed up right away with a dhcp address in the network, DNS, everything but connectivity. I'm hoping I will be able to iron that out but even after a reboot and specifyng google DNS and cloudflare DNS i still didn't get any connectivity. That's may just be something thats needs to be configured differently.By Amazon Customer on July 18, 2021

I never knew I could use Ethernet with the new iPad Pro 2018 so when I found out, I thought I’d check on amazon for what I could buy and looked at this brand as I have other items from them.
It arrived nicely packaged and it was very simple, plug it in and you’d notice a new ‘Ethernet’ menu item appears under the Wi-Fi item in settings. Plug in the Ethernet cable and everything works as you’d expect. The Wi-Fi logo disappears from top right (if it was connected previously), yet you still have full access to the internet.
The adapter has 2 lights, one to indicate it’s connected and the other flashes when traffic goes through like normal Ethernet plugs.
It supports gigabyte too!
To finish it off, it comes with a nice little pouch to store it when it’s not in use.
Overall, great product and it does the job needed.

Purchased this for use on my Macbook Pro 13" 2018 (refresh model) for my lan network in order to transfer large files. Looked through Amazon for a USC-C to Ethernet and came across Uni products with great reviews. Having already tried their USB-C to DisplayPort the quality is top notch for this price bracket, as you can expect I wasn't dissapointed with this adaptor.
