I ordered this because I needed EXACTLY 50 feet of cable. It measures 46 feet 10 inches. An entire 3 feet 2 inches shorter than advertised.
That pales in comparison to the actual problem of this not even being a CAT5e. There are no twisted pairs, it's not solid core, and the color coding is not standard.
This product actually deserves zero stars, but sadly, that's not an option.
In addition the color coding is not standard.
I purchased the 50' length as I needed a twenty foot length of cable to fish through a wall and re-terminate for a custom wall fish.
After cutting the connector off one end saw that cable wasn't what I wanted.
Apparently this is the same cheap Chinese cable that other purchasers have complained about.
Would return except for the fact that I cut cable before determining that it was not made with twisted pairs.
After researching what could possibly be wrong, it came down to either my router settings or the ethernet itself. Other devices with shorter Cat5e cables were running gigabit speeds just fine, so I swapped this cable out with another brand from Amazon, and it turns out this cable does not contain twisted pairs. If you buy an actual CAT6 or CAT5e cable and look at them compared to this one, you can see the twisted pairs inside the cable of the proper cables.
This cable is fine if you just want to hook up a device that simply needs an internet/network connection, but speed is not a priority. Otherwise, if you want to actually get a gigabit connection from your ethernet cable, you need to look elsewhere.
I plan to hook up a NAS to my network, so I need the full gigabit speed for fast access, so this cable will not work for me. It's also pretty deceitfully advertised.
Took off a star since the sheath the cable is in is a very cheap PVC that looks to crack open with little force and bending. Ordered 50 feet when I only needed 42 for the extra slack so the cable has held up. We'll see a few months from now. Should be the same since it's in a raceway and not moving.
