Although Carvalhaes sometimes takes things farther than I would on my own, I love the challenge and the call he offers to re-think our sacraments in terms of privileged and non-privileged. Whether or not one might be able to go where the author goes, I'm impressed with the depth of thought, the practical theology, and challenge to traditional systematic theology offered. A good and important book in the ongoing dialogue about where and how we might find God in the ordinary and extraordinary. Thank you, Claudio!
