So, I actually own the album purchased on vinyl circa 1982 and have ripped those on to CD, however, when I saw the CD being offered I had to purchase it for the sake of nostalgia. The album was brought to popularity mostly from the single "Eugene", which was celebrated by those late Sunday night Dr. Demento programs over the years. A lot of fun and catchy songs from a time that has passed us by.

Like countless others, I stumbled across this via being in the KISS Army, as the real "Spaceman" Ace Frehley co-wrote the "hit" single here, "Eugene." It's a great novelty tune, and should have been huge! Wanting to study further, I bough the album ... how can I describe this? It's a mix of novelty tunes mixed with (probably) intake of a selected herb - "Buzz Me"? Funny! "Ugga Ugga Boo" cracks my kids up, and "Little Puffies" is possibly the oddest ode to chicks ever recorded.

Musically, things are slightly repetitive, but there are some solid performances here and there - the bass playing is disco-meets-slap, and it's great (done by one John Regan, who would later play with Ace).

Overall, a super-curiosity, but beyond that a fun listen for fans of the '70's, oddities, and novelty music.

Tried to find this album for YEARS and gave up, until I was surprised to find it here on Amazon!
The 'magnum-opus' hit song is 'EUGENE', which is the BEST the band ever produced.
There was also a video-skit of this song which can be viewed on the Net by researching the band & song title 'Eugene'!
