I love this tent! Out of all the tents I have tried this is the best tent I've tested yet. I'm from Saskatchewan and have so far tested this tent in late fall and early spring conditions in Northern Sask. Saskatchewan climate conditions are interesting 38c\100.4f in the summer and -48c/-54.4f in the winter. The temperatures I've tested this tent in so far range from 16c\60.8f to -22c\-7.6f. This tent held up beautifully, but if your going colder then that get a 4 season tent.

As Far as conditions, I've tested this tent in rain, freezing rain, snow, and wind gusts of up to 40km. The frame is solid! It's handled a snow load of 1"\2.5cm, and the trip with freezing rain hardly stressed the tents structure at all. Just a quick shaking of the tent and all the ice fell off. When looking at wind factors, the frame never bowed, and the fly is so low to the ground there was wasn't any wind that snuck through the bottom. Again a solid tent. Here's the beauty part. It was driest tent I've ever owned. The tent is mostly a mesh design. There is a vent at the top of the tent fly which does an excellent job at letting condensation out while keeping the elements out. I use a down sleeping bag and myself and my bag were as dry as can be every morning. LOVE IT! Although the tent is made out of a solid polyester I still used the foot print for the Midori 2.

Cons: This tent isn't perfect. 1. The aluminum pegs that come with the tent suck. They're pretty flimsy and will bend like a safety pin when trying to stick them into hard or frozen ground. 2. One of the cool features of this tent is kind of a downer too. The pole on the vestibule part of fly is about 12"\30.48cm. Although it gives your vestibule extra room which is greatly appreciated, it makes stuffing this tent slightly a pain.

Eureka tents are very high quality, reliable tents. The Eureka Midori 2-Person Tent is an excellent example of their latest design and material. The excellent price and low packing weight were my main requirements. Upon initial setup in my yard, I was most impressed with the design and ease of setup. Read/follow the setup instructions and you can't go wrong. Stakes and tie-downs are included. Excellent design used inside the tent. My first backpacking trip was in good weather, no rain, but we had 20 mph winds overnight. Fully staked and tied down, this tent was solid. The vestibule is a good design, and should offer a decent cooking area under rainy weather, in addition to storing boots and packs. The tent venting system provided no condensation overnight. I like the Midori design with the large zippered side entrance, and the gear loft and a way to hang my tent light were really great. Nice tent.

After spending hours and hours of comparing and researching tents, I settled on this one. It fits me and my wife with 2 sleeping pads just fine with plenty of room to store our packs and boots in the vestibule. Since you only one vestibule with this tent the raised vestibule provides plenty of room to store 2 peoples gear but prevents being able to stuff in a compression sack (the only downside to this tent imo).

Took this out this past weekend on the Three Ridges portion of the A.T. and it performed well. Had lots of rain/wind the first night and it got pretty chilly outside. No leaks and it fought the wind off with no issues. I only guy'd out the head/foot ends. The vent kept moisture from building up and the gear loft and side pockets are easily accessible. The second night we had heavy fog which led to heavy dew/rain and again I had no problems. It was much more humid the second night but no moisture build up again.

I am very happy with this tent and am working on a way to detach/attached the rain fly pole to make this tent fully compressible. I will update this review if I figure this out without compromising the water proof integrity of the fly.

great tent, no leaks, very light, easy to setup and store, good looking but...............

be warned

the tent (inside) is like 80% mesh, that is why it is so light, so the cold will enter thought the mesh, not a problem, just be warned of that

there is no water at all even after heavy rain, the cover is wonderful, just be sure to setup the tent and cover as pictures show, using guy lines and stakes

the vestibule pole is dumb, but well, not a big problem, just annoying and weird, it is a pain to compact it because of a stupid stick which does nothing only looks cool,

i love this tent, how easy it is to setup and disarm, but gives no protection for the cold or fog

Did a lot of research before purchasing this tent that's light enough to take bicycle touring and backpacking for me and my wife without breaking the bank. Tents that are a little lighter or have two doors (this one only has one door) of this quality cost twice as much, Took it on an overnight bicycle tour this weekend and only have one complaint. It held a lot of humidity inside under the rain fly and the air inside the tent was a little stuffy as a result. Maybe if we would have had a breeze or if we would have left the rain fly door open for more ventilation, it wouldn't have been a problem. Otherwise, it's just the right amount of space for comfortable sleeping for a 6'3" 210 lb guy and a 5'7" 130 lb gal without very much additional unused space that would add extra weight. The rain fly also extends out from the door by a couple feet to allow room for storing your shoes and small packs outside sheltered from the elements.
