I doubt any of the cast or crew read these posts, but, just in case, I want to say, "Thank you!"
THANK YOU for making FIVE wonderfully fun seasons of this fun, imaginative, and completely unique show. You have made a fantastic program that you should be incredibly proud of for years to come. I will look forward to seeing the talented cast members in new shows, on other networks. You have made a raving fan out of me, and my spouse.
But, alas, I will miss not seeing you all in Eureka each summer.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Forever a fan...
To the SyFy channel...
You've cancelled Eureka, all Stargate shows, and now, Sanctuary. And, you are systematically removing all trace of truly original/imaginative SCIENCE-FICTION/FANTASY programs from your schedule and replacing them with trashy reality game shows, wrestling, and ghost hunters/fact finders. I have one program left on your channel that I watch, and I can say that if you also cancel that, I will have no further reason to watch, or recommend, your network that I have been a fan of since it charged onto the cable airwaves in 1992. With all my friends and family, who love SciFi as much as I do, 'SyFy' has become a joke. You keep cancelling the best, most creative, most imaginative programs you have.
YOU have LOST this fan.
Received my copy of season 5 today, and it's fantastic (I actually forgot, I pre-ordered it on May 15). All the episodes, of course, including the animated Christmas episode (let's face it, the two Christmas episodes for this series are going to become classic Christmas episodes in the Sci-Fi genre).. it's got some extras, deleted scenes, gag reels, extended scenes, and even the tribute "Ode to Carl the Jeep" - A nice final package for a wonderful series that will be missed... SyFy cancelled Stargate (all of them), Battlestar Galactica, and many other great Science Fiction shows (in favor of 'reality' Ghost shows, and WRESTLING (???!!!???) ... but Eureka was especially hard to say goodbye too, because for many of us, it felt like home.
3 cheers for Dr. Trevor Grant! (Those of you who've seen Season 5, know what I mean)
As for the other things in life... Guess we'll just have to "Deal with it tomorrow"
EUREKA, in its fifth and final season, still throws caution to the winds, still dares to redefine itself. The Season 4 finale closed with an edge-of-your-seat cliffhanger, as the deep space mission to Titan was sabotaged during launch and the Astraeus crew deployed to some unknown destination. Season 5 revolves mostly around the wayward Astraeus crew as, moments after the events in the Season 4 finale, they return to Earth to learn that four years had elapsed and things had changed alarmingly for the worse. And so cue the shuffling of status quo and the relationship shake-ups and the drastic shifts in personality.
But the more things change, et cetera... Eureka remains the most dangerous hidden community on the planet, with its unending barrage of faulty scientific experiments. Sheriff Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson, consistently awesome), the genius town's dimmest resident, still races around Eureka, saving the day with his common man's heroics. Five seasons in, he remains our likable point-of-view character. Still, whenever the egghead discussion swivels to topics like smart dust and body printing, no one puts on a more amusing baffled expression than Colin Ferguson.
So who will die? Who will tie the knot? Who lands the unexpected promotion? Who gets an impressively menacing heel turn? And who is the mole? And what is Matrix Eureka? The Astraeus crew's return unveils a sinister conspiracy. As usual, things aren't what they seem. Gratifyingly, recurring guest star Felicia Day is featured heavily in these shady shenanigans. I love that this season exudes a whiff of THE INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS.Read more ›

I am upset at the CANCELLATION. The storyline of the last episode saved the town, but couldn't save the show. A fine example of why SyFy has gone to pot and ruined their format! Read morePublished on July 17, 2012 by MICKEY C. BISHOP
Awesome trailer, awesome show.
It's the last season so don't miss an episode or you'll regret it.
It's sad that it's the last season but it should be a great one.
As is usual for Eureka, the twists & turns never stopped coming. It breaks my heart that the series has to end. Read morePublished on May 30, 2013 by tvmoviemaniac
