For starters, the package itself seemed old when it arrived. I took out the pliers and proceeded to grasp a small jewelry wire with it. The "nylon jaw" is basically useless and very slippery, it just slipped right off of the wire. Rubber jaw would have been better. Anyway, a minute or two into my first attempt to use the pliers and I realized that a screw had fallen off of the pliers where it holds the "nylon jaw" in place and was sitting in the original packaging. This product was Dead on Arrival and exhibited very poor quality. Returned.

Poor quality. Screws would not stay in. Tips would not stay on. Don't waste your money. I sent mine back.

These pliers are the best for straightening fine (read: expensive!) wire before wire wrapping or creating rings, bracelets, closures, earrings; you get the picture! I have the chain nose, flat nose, and round nose. You can buy replacement nylon jaws if necessary (or replacement nylon slip-on covers for the round nose) but I've not needed any replacements in more than a year of use.

These were poor quality pliers and were sent back. Quality control needs to take a look and redesign or at least get a better grade of plastic or nylon.

the nylon tip cover came off during the first time I used this tool. The tiny screw wouldn't screw back in, it seemed too small for the hole. But, I couldn't really screw it back in very well anyway since the screwhead seemed to have more of a gray line than an actual groove for the screwdriver to fit into in order to rotate the screw back in.

Quality is really really bad. Don't buy it!

I don't know how I bent the wire I bent prior to getting these. They leave no marks in the metal and work great for coiling wire for decoration once it is started with the round nose pliers. I love the nylon jaws.

I used these pliers a few times and the nylon fell off. I was using them as a finishing touch on wire wrapped jewelry to really clamp down hard on the wrapping to secure it. That may not have been their intended purpose. The screw that holds the nylon on doesn't seem well suited for the task. All in all, I wouldn't recommend them.
