But all is not well for Eve and her love, Grayson. When Eve returns to her hometown to settle her parents' estate, a series of miscommunications and Eve's own self-doubt threaten to tank their relationship. Plus, back home she's reunited with her old neighbor Steven, who always carried a torch for her.
I literally couldn't put this one down. I had to know what happened with Eve, Grayson and his kids, and Steven. If you love great, heartfelt romance, you'll love Eve 'n' Steven!
Eve 'N' Steven is the story of Eve, a successful, wealthy woman from New York City who has to return home to the family farm and deal with the legacy of the farm, once her parents have passed on. Waiting back in her little, hometown is Steven - her childhood friend who everyone would thought would eventually end up together. The plot revolves around her dealing with this situation, whilst trying to handle her emotions from a possible breakup with her long-term boyfriend back in New York.
The book is cleverly written, at times genuinely funny, warm and sweet. Quite frankly, I loved it and having not read the first book in the series made no difference at all to my enjoyment. I may even now go back and read that first book. I like this author.
It's a cute read, and explores what happens when you seek out your past, and where it may take you.
