Baby Bjorn might be the gold standard, but Evenflo has hit all the necessaries for a great carrier.

PROS:
-Strong stitching and clasps (well built)
-Adjustable for parents' and baby's size (our baby is just at the lower limit of 7 lbs. and at times needs a folded receiving blanket to keep his head from moving too much; even for our small baby this "Vent" model has plenty of gaps for safe uncrowded breathing.)
-Reasonable padding of shoulder straps, good foam padding for baby (the aqua color)
-Low cost compared to other brands (appears equally functional to much pricier brands)
-Easily opens to either side top and bottom to get baby out/in

CONS:
-None.

THOUGHTS:
For sizing perfections, some company should make a small and large size for the baby portion that can be interchanged when baby grows (think about it- it might carry 7 to 26 lbs, but for 7 he's deep down in the carrier and 26 I'm sure he'll be hangin' all over!)

Bottom line: Great product at good value compared to competitors. Would buy again.

My husband and I bought this for our little one before she was born! She turned 6 mos. old/17ish lbs yesterday! This carrier was indispensable for the first 5 months, but when she got to be 17 lbs and 24", this became a very tight squeeze! In theory she can stay in it for another 9 lbs, but it is very hard to get her in! Once you add in the dimensions for cloth diaper and diaper cover, it gets to the point that we are pulling on one leg and then the other to WEDGE her down in there. Now, our baby is at the top of her percentile, but still, it's work getting her settled, and then she has red lines 'round the legs/crotch when we get her out. Unless you have a small baby and use only disposables, don't expect this carrier to last as long as it claims. For the first 6 months, it is great! Perfect, even! Love it, just get ready for a change.

If you are shopping for a baby carrier, invest your money in a high quality carrier that will accommodate your baby as he or she grows. Here are the pros & cons...

Pro
- Cheap
- Great for babies under 10 pounds
- Good for short outings (20 min)
- Folds up easily
- Nice Color

Con
- The straps really dig into your shoulders
- It does not distribute the babies weight very well - hence a sore back in no time.
- It does not fit a man very well, so forget sharing the carrying with your husband.
- It's a little tricky getting the baby in & out
- My baby is now 4 months old and it's pretty tight.

If you will mostly be using a stroller, perhaps it's good to have this model as an option. However, your needs & the baby's may change and it is good to have a high quality carrier to provide you with the freedom to roam as you please comfortably. Cheers!

We bought this because my husband doesn't have the patience to deal with putting our daughter in the Moby that she loves, she doesn't hate this carrier, but she likes her Moby better. Good thing is, it's super easy to get on/off and perfectly colored for summer!

I read the reviews on various baby carriers. While infantino and baby bjorn are the popular and not to mention expensive choices in the market, I decided to buy the evenflo because it's more affordable and a safe choice should my baby not want a carrier then I won't feel that I wasted my money. I learned that not all babies want to use a carrier so I just had to find out for myself by buying this product. At 5 weeks, though our son is big and was weight-appropriate for the carrier, he couldn't last. Maybe it wasn't as snug as a newborn would want it. Waited until he turned 4 months to use it while on a trip and it was HEAVEN SENT! Our baby was getting big and heavy that prolonged carrying (sans the stroller) and this carrier truly saved our backs and arms whenever we roam around the streets, stairs, malls, getting around by subway or foot!

At 6 months, our son still fits the carrier but I am afraid it won't be long until he outgrows the carrier. It's just so convenient and easy to use when traveling with the baby. Still praying that we can still use the carrier on our next trip when our son is 8.5 months! Conclusion, if you're not sure if your baby will appreciate the carrier, this is a good buy! And unlike most carriers, this one is flexible where you baby can either face you or outside! Now isn't that great?

We bought an Ergo, but my 3.5 months baby doesn't like it yet (cannot see much being faced inwards). After some research I bought this product - and she (and I) loves it! It may not be able to use it for too long, but it works great at the moment. Simple, light, durable (from what I can tell), very affordable. Highly recommend it.
(However as one of the customers mentioned already, you may need to attach velcro/button/hook to keep the "flap" down when the baby is facing outside - I put the "glue-on" velcro and it works great).

We had a Snugli Comfort Vent carrier with my son 6 years ago, so when our daughter was born, we decided to get another of the same since we liked it very well. The design overall is very similar if not just the same, although I like this color much better than the dark navy one we had before. My husband and I are both overweight, and he is very tall while I'm rather short. This carrier is comfortable for both of us, despite our weight and the differences in our heights. We've never had a problem with the carrier coming undone when everything is snapped together correctly. However, it can be a little tricky trying to get it all snapped and buckled into place without a second set of hands. I'd rate this a 4.5 stars if I could--the only thing against it IMHO is how stiff & difficult the fasteners can be to use (but then, that also makes them less likely to pop open on their own, so it's not all bad). My daughter is just now getting to the stage where she can use it facing outwards, and she loves to be able to look around and see people and things around her. My son loved that, too--he loved being able to look all around him.

Just a note, I've heard from a few moms that carriers like this are supposed to be bad for the baby's back. I've never heard that from an authority such as our doctor, so I don't know if that is true or not. However, my son definitely did not suffer any ill effects from using this carrier--he's strong as an ox & healthy as a horse! And so far my daughter doesn't seem to have any problems, either.
