About Everlast
The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Known internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits at the time, which scarecely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He dubbed them "Everlast."

Over the ensuing years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training, and Golomb agreed. In 1919, Dempsey won the world’s heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves custom made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately grew in popularity.

Everlast men’s and women’s apparel and accessories continue today to be popular both inside and outside the ring.

Although they claim that this item can be used by adults, it is the furthest thing from the truth. You can only fill the black bottom HALF up with water, which you wouldn't know until you buy it. Due to this, you can't do any combonations with this bag as you knock on its' side with even the most mild of punches. Also, after a few hits, it rips open like your fists were made of nails even with gloves on.

The only reason why this purchase was made was due to the fact that I have no where to hang my actual heavybag in my apartment. This is not even remotely a replacment for a real bag. Save your twenty five dollars for something else.

It all started off well enough despite the lack of specific directions. We figured out how to fill the bottom chamber with water in the bathtub before pumping the upper chamber with the included pump. Kids were not impressed with the pump but it did the job.

The kids enjoyed several days of punching away without interruption. It was actually going smooth until the dog decided to join in the fun. If a patch kit came with the unit, we never found it. Had to go to the store to purchase one from the camping section.

Not bad for a "cheap" punching bag. Would not recommend for serious sports training but this was for a child to get some frustration out and it worked. It took many weeks to arrive - the shipper did not send out within the normal time frame and they never responded to my inquiry so not sure what went wrong there - never had trouble like that from any Amazon.com vendor before.

The nozzle on the pump split as soon as i attached it to the air tube. I had to use duct tape to seal the nozzle to the tube. The fit was not entirely air tight. The airtube has to be held or it will pop free of the pump. The air pump split before the punching bag was half way inflated. I had to use duct tape to seal the split. So all of ther problems stem from my dissatisfaction with the cheap air pump. The bag itself is fine... so far.

Excellent training punching bag for aerobic session. Do not expect hard punching out of it as it will burst. If you keep it low impact, is a great aerobic excercise!

My 8 yr old loves it! Have had no problems with it (except it does take quite awhile to fill w/ the little manual pump)!

This bag is much better than the normal bop bags as far as rebound action. The old style falls all the down to the ground an then SLOWLY comes back to standing position. This one much more like a real bag snapping back and not hitting the ground unless you hit it to hard of coarse. My kid's are 4 and 5 years and only use the bag SUPERVISED being taught PROPER punching/elbow/knee and kicking strikes!I would never leave this bag alone with them to thrash on , it would break real quick and with a h20 base ,not good.GREAT FOR YOUNG KIDS TO LEARN ON....(NOT BEAT ON) the key is always, learn to strike GOOD then worry about how hard...

We bought this for my 7yr old son, and in 2 days he had totally destroyed it. Thank goodness we had it on a tile floor. He kicked the bottom and it broke letting out all the water! What a mess. Not worth the money.

This product was a total waste of my money. It went straight to the gabage. I wish I can get my money back. After inflating it, it could not stand, then I put water in the base, the whole water came out after one push not even a bunch. How can you punch something that cannot stand?
