EVERY HEART is a heart-wrenching love story that brought me to my knees. This is a story of hope, love, perseverance, and sacrifice. It's about making the tough decisions and following your heart. It's about trying to live your life to the fullest no matter what fate throws at you. This book flooded me with emotions just like I knew it would, leaving me in a state of bliss and contentment.

Would you choose something safe, something familiar, or would you choose something more intense, passionate, and unpredictable? You may think this is an easy decision to make, but when your heart is on the line, nothing could be further from the truth.

EVERY HEART is the touching and emotional sequel to one of my favorite books of 2014, EVERY SOUL, where we first met Bain and Arion, who began their journey to one another. These two have been through HELL and back. They are each other's life line, their anchor, their other half. Well, as they say, 'if one door closes, another one opens,' and what's on the other side of that door throws a wrench in Bain and Arion's happily ever after. The past and present collide in the heart wrenching continuation of their story. Happiness, contentment, and bliss turns into fear, indecision, and pain. Walls that took so long to break down, slowly rebuild as the situation changes, leaving everyone in a state of pain, loss, and regret. One decision could change everything. Either way EVERY HEART involved will take a hit, and someone's will be broken completely.
EVERY HEART took a toll on MY heart, taking me on quite an emotional roller coaster ride. There were parts that gutted me, parts that made me laugh, and TONS of parts that made me cry. At the end, a weight was lifted, and these characters I fell in love with at the very beginning, carved a permanent place in my heart.

If you are just starting this series, then Stop reading this book and begin with "Every Soul" the first book. It provides details and background for the characters and the beginning of their stories. "Every Soul" ends with a major cliffhanger and it's precisely where "Every Heart" begins. There is a third book in this series, but I probably won't read it.
Another book plus more sales for this Indie-writer and just another reason why a series frustrates me. This book took less than two hours to read cover-to-cover and overall the story wasn't as interesting. In a lot of ways it was very predictable.

On the plus side, it was nice to learn the details about Kinsey's murder and the outcome of the trial. Plus, the positive direction Bain's family has after treatment was completed. Of course, the main couple of this story we learn what becomes of their relationship.

I have this book 3 stars because I just wasn't satisfied overall with the story. There were several unnecessary incidents like the car accident that really didn't need to be included to make the story work. No wedding details were provided nor anything about Bain's friends and teammates. No details about the Hampton's or Costa Rica or even their Manhattan home. The doorman didn't need to be mentioned nor Carl, the driver, but they are. Additionally, Arion was very passionate about having a career in the first book and in this one it pretty much fizzled out. More details about Nate and his final story would have been a better ending instead of a third book.

At the beginning, I was literally in tears for Arion. After learning her then fiance' Bats was killed in a roadside bomb, she is faced with long and hard decisions to make to finally open up and learn to love again, she is faced with yet another life changing decision. Meeting Bain, Arion let's go and begins to date him, while knowing deep down she was actually falling for him. When they finally decide to both put their feelings out in the open, she learns Mate was still alive. For the past year he was held hostage while starved to death. The one thing that kept him holding on was the thought of Arion waiting for him with open arms when he returned. When he was rescued he couldn't wait to see her. And when he does, it's nothing like his thoughts. She was then faced with yet another life altering decision, she has to choose who she would spend the rest of her life with, Nate, her first love who once held her heart or Bain who now helped her recover and learn to love again and now held her heart.
I have to admit, I was Team Bain all the way.
But then at the end, YES, yet ANOTGER cliff hanger. One that you would not think about. And that's what I love about L.K. Collins' writing. While I strongly dislike cliff hangers, she has a way with them that completely catches you off guard and leaves you wondering what the neck will happen now!!!! Now I have to sit in torture and wait........until book 3!

Just like Every Soul, this story had me choked up with tears. I so wouldn't have wanted to be in Arion's place. However, I feel really bad for Nate and truly hope he can move on and find absolute true love without having to fight. Although, I have to say that I'm seriously thrilled that Bain and Arion going a wonderful ending.

After reading Every Soul I had to get this book to find out what happens. I couldn't put it down. I can't even begin to imagine the feelings that Arion was feeling when she first sees the fiance that she thought had died. Then to have to choose between him and the guy that put you back together. There wasn't anything I disliked about Nate but I was rooting for Bain the entire time. Will definitely be looking out for the next book. There are some things that do need to have some closure.
