SPOILER - I thought the heroine was a bit immature and some what of a drama queen. Everything was so emotional, even petting the dog. She really didn't do it for me. She seemed to be "hurt" by everything that everybody did whether intentional or not,. I just got sort of tired of her dramatics. I don't want to discourage anyone from reading the story because it has lessons of judging others, forgiveness, etc,. So it can be some good lessons to learn.,
I was not paid for this review. I am not an author nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is just my opinion, noting more, nothing less.
Wendy Watts was now a city girl. She liked living Sacramento and being a successful realtor. She didn't want to return to Blue Moon Bay, where she had grown up and where there had been so much heartache for her. But, her grandmother had died and left her in charge of the bed and breakfast in Blue Moon Bay. She would have to return for 30 days to sell her grandmother's inn and split the proceeds with her brother, Ben. Then, she was done with Blue Moon Bay for good.
The one thing she hadn't planned on was meeting Max Huntington on her first night back in Blue Moon Bay. He was very handsome and was a great kisser. How could she possibly have let herself believe in the legend she had grown up knowing about. Could it be possible to find your one true love and have forever with that person. Everyone in her life had left her. She wasn't used to having happily ever afters. She wasn't even sure she believed in them.
This story was a beautifully told, clean romance. There was chemistry between Wendy and Max and she began to believe in things she didn't think could be possible, like lifelong friendships and forever love.
I was given a free copy of this book one exchange for an honest review.
She moved to Sacramento and now owns her own successful real-estate business. When her grandmother dies she stipulates in her will the Wendy must live Blue Mood Bay for one month and sell her grandmother's inn. She finds out she can't keep the inn or give to Brian who loves the inn and wants to keep it in the family.
After bitter argument with Brian over the future of the inn Wendy has a meltdown on the beach which is witnessed by Max a handsome stranger or so she believes. Their attraction to each other is instantaneous. Max is completely head over heels about his feelings for Wendy. Can Wendy work through her fears another betrayal by somebody she cares about and can she Brian find a way to keep the inn in the family? Susan Hatler has a gift for creating wonderful solutions to complex problems. You can't help but loving this well written heartwarming story with a HEA ending.
I received this book from the author and am freely posting this fair and balance review.
