Editorial Reviews
Neil Young's second solo album, 1969's Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere cracked the Top 40, went platinum and included three of his most beloved songs, "Cinnamon Girl" and the nearly 10-minute epics "Down By The River" and "Cowgirl In The Sand." The album also introduced his associated band, Crazy Horse.

Music great; sound poor
I had to remaster the audio from the mp3 downloads to match the quality of the vinyl. The remaster audio is VERY loud. First, I reduced the audio level by about 75%. Then I equalized all the tracks by bringing up the high ends. The original recording, as represented by the vinyl, has the vocals peaking out on "s" sounds and it seems the engineers, when remastering, reduced all the high end to compensate. Sounds MUCH better now. Great album though.

The transaction was smooth, the record was in good condition.
This album is a great work of art by Neil Young. It is classic and should be in every record collection.

The vinyl version is better than the CD...( I have both) The CD is actually an HDCD. which is fine as long as you have a player that will read and play HDCD. In that case you will get better than CD quality out of it... And more that likely you will not have any problems with it. If not and you only have a regular CD player that is not capable of reading and playback of HDCD, you will actually get less than CD quality out of the CD.(15 bits instead of 16 bits max resolution).....I think this illustrates one of the problems with Hi rez music files...The answer is not always just throwing more bits at the problem...Using more bits increases the chance for errors, greater computations must be made at higher speeds and so recording and mastering must use more sophisticated equipment, and also more diligences skill and understanding is needed for the process to be successful. Playback also must use equipment of a higher grade and speed that is capable of keeping up with all the additional bits speed and information available...If not often the results are less than desirable, and the outcome is often a lesser product ...As all the remastered 2nd and third addition CD's ca attest to. So higher bit rate does promise the theory of better music playback but it does not guarantee it, nor is it necessarily going to be so...In fact the opportunities for error increases all through the chain making the window for higher quality playback smaller.

One of Neil Young’s best albums. Every song is a hit.

Some real classics here, Crazy Horse seemed to make this album a bit more consistent, musically speaking. If that kind of consistency is what you are looking for in a Neil Young album, then this is one to own. Listening to it reminded me a lot of DAWES, which is a band I really enjoy.

One can't say enough good about the remaster of Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. Music magazines may natter on about some second-rate album the editors think should be on the list of the top 200 albums of all time, but this early Neil Young masterpiece is one that actually deserves to be there.
OK, you have to put up with the commercial Cinnamon Girl, but you also get these: two muscular ten minute epics in Down By The River and Cowgirl In The Sand that were once staples of "underground" radio; two masters of the kind of melancholy at which Young excels in Round and Round (It Won't Be Long) and Running Dry; the jaunty first-rate The Losing End; and the countryish title cut. The sound is spectacular, there is so much to hear that was essentially inaudible on past releases. Guitar lovers should especially be thrilled by the improved sound of the longest cuts. Additionally, you get an attractive booklet containing pictures and album info but regrettably no complete lyrics.
This is the album which introduced Young's stellar band Crazy Horse to the public, a band that Young has recorded with many times over his long career. I own this on vinyl and admit to not having listened to this album for years. Now that it really comes alive with this remaster, I will be listening more frequently. Whether you are a long-time Neil Young fan who has had this album in mothballs or a newcomer to his sound, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere is one remaster you won't want to miss.

Clássico da discografia de Neil Young, em ótima reedição
Reviewed in Brazil on December 13, 2020
Confirmado o reembolso, fui fazer a nova compra. O preço havia praticamente dobrado, mas o valor original foi mantido, por meio de desconto que apareceu antes de finalizar a compra. Fiquem atentos a estas questões de preço, entrega e relacionamento com o cliente.
