It's Ok, not a classic cookbook
on March 11, 2013
I like this book in general but it isn't going to be a classic cookbook. First of all she went way too into her life, it's a cookbook. Secondly, the food all looks and sounds great but it is heavy on curries and the like, which I like but others might not. Thirdly, I think referencing a website in a cookbook, in the directions, is silly, no company, thus website, is immune to going extinct and so in 15 years when someone finds this cookbook somewhere and tries to look up some of the references they might not be there. There is a lot to like though. She goes over budget worries and it is obvious she cares about what she does. I liked the mayo and found that easy. I would have liked to see recipes with coconut flour making drop biscuits and pancakes. This is a good starter book for paleo diet, but it isn't a Betty Crocker classic, if you know what I mean.
