I have downloaded many cookbooks onto my Kindle. This is actually the first one I have used to prepare a meal. This is also the first one I have kept. When I have looked through the others, I decided there really wasn't a single recipe I thought was worth trying, since it's awkward to use the Kindle and keep it clean on the kitchen counter while gathering and mixing the ingredients; so I deleted them. The recipes in this book were worth the risk. If you are vegetarian, you owe it to yourself to at least download the sample of this book. The recipes I have tried are quick, easy, and flavorful.

Being a vegetarian, having access to more varied dishes is wonderful. Even for those who are not vegetarians I would definitely recommend "Everyday Vegetarian Family Cookbook to try it out.

Really good, not difficult recipes -

I love it when I read a cook book and there are a bunch of recipes for which I think, "Gee, I only need to buy nor or two things to make this." None of the ingredients are far out but a lot of old favorites are used in new ways. Very cool. There are a few recipes to which I will add meat, only so my husband will eat them, but if you can handle vegetarian fare, these are hearty recipes.

If I have to be honest, vegetarian meals are my personal favorites and I can happily live without meat at all. However, because I have to cook for a large family and my husband is a big meat lover, I always serve both vegetarian as well as meat dishes for those who like it.

I have been vegetarian for almost 40 years and am moving away from white flour and sugar. There were only a few recipes to add to my collection. This book would be great for new vegetarians or those trying to use vegetarian recipes occasionally (Meatless Monday).

Out of all the vegetarian cookbooks out there, I must say this one definitely stands out.
Recipes are clear and easy to make, a hundred recipes for such a low price is just amazing. This book actually makes being a vegetarian much more fun. I highly recommend getting this one.

I really do appreciate this book and the effort it takes to compile these delicious recipes. Now instead of browsing online for random vegetarian recipes, I have a wonderful book for breakfast to dinner. The great thing about this book is that the recipes are quick, and very easy to prepare. With a little patience you can prepare gourmet vegetarian recipes from around the entire world at a lesser cost to wow your family and friends. Thanks to the author and I highly recommend this book to anyone. Buy it now!!

It's a refreshing change to find a cookbook which doesn't disappoint! I am new to the vegetarian lifestyle. I have purchased several cookbooks which turned out to be 50% lecture, persuasive argument or factoid. I am visually impaired, and have been frustrated by this inclination. This cookbook is just what a seasoned cook, looking to branch out, needs. Beginning cooks could also use this with ease.
From the well written (brief) intro, I have been nothing but happy with this book! The recipes fit right into my kitchen, availability of ingredients and need to cook for non-vegetarian family members without making two separate meals.
The emphasis on actually health recipes is refreshing as I don't eat sugar.
This is undoubtedly be a great resource for beginner and seasoned vegetarian alike. Recipes are well written and have great range. Kudos to the author!

I really liked this book it contains a huge selection of recipes so I think it would be difficult to not find something you like, I've been vegetarian for nearly 30 years now and like the author my house is split, two vegetarians and two meat eaters so I tend to make a vegetarian dish plus meat in some form to keep everyone happy, after reading this book I can see how I've narrowed down the dishes I make, you know what it's like I have my favourite dishes like everyone else and I tend to repeat them. For example I make a lot of soups, they're easy to make and freeze well but I tend to stick with my favourites, think I'll try some different ones the 'Broccoli and Potato Soup' sounds good along with the 'Cauliflower' and the 'Roasted Red Pepper' well so many of the soups look good, as you've gathered I love soup.
Another interesting dish is the 'Feta baked in foil' I've never even considered doing this but I'll be giving it a go, would go well with a nice salad I think.
Like I said earlier there's a lot of choice, 100 recipes and as well as covering meals there's also some skincare recipes in the back.
Two things I didn't like, firstly there's no pictures, at all and I like to see a picture of what the meal should look like. Secondly, and this is just my opinion but I don't think the picture on the cover does the book any favours, it certainly doesn't appeal to me. So even though I like a lot of the recipes and will be giving them a try it's not really working for me without any pictures inside.
Another thing which didn't bother me but I thought I'd mention it, there's no calories or nutritional information.

Who knew vegetables could be so yummy? I have been a vegetarian for a few months now and recently experienced a slump. I went and bought a bunch of veggie cookbooks and hands down this one was the best. Loads of great ideas, well written and easy to follow. Recommended for vegetarians seeking culinary inspiration.
