I first saw this book in college in the 90s. It was in the original Japanese, but I had a translation. The preschool teacher I was working with read it to the class. I borrowed it and read it to my Creative Activities for the Developmentally Young class. It was a hoot! Now, it is a standard gift I give to new parents. It's a great way to teach and discuss an uncomfortable topic.

I bought this for my 22-month-old daughter right before we started potty training. I keep it by her mini potty and we only read it when she sits on the potty. She loves her “poop book” and it’s a nice tool to have while she’s learning to sit on the potty. Contains lots of pictures of animals + poop and also contains anatomically correct visuals of humans which is helpful too. Definitely recommend adding this to your collection of potty books, and would also recommend keeping it near the mini potty.
