While it does give a decent walkthrough bulleting consideration points to help with 1) calibrating your partner selection process, 2) defining love and addressing myths about love, and 3) identifying unhealthy relationships/when to leave, I don't feel like I learned anything I don't already know. She focused on anecdotes, mainly her own, to back up her claims and, in effect, had advice for a very specific relationship pattern - women who are too needy/clingy. I don't identify with this, so i skimmed through many chunks of the book.
In terms of writing style - she'd start off making a point, then make a contradiction in the same paragraph - overall, it read like a glamour magazine relationship column. However, I have gone through many years of therapy on my own, so maybe this will help others who haven't done a lot of personal development.
