Being recently diagnosed with a wheat allergy- my whole life got turned on its head. I had to learn a whole new way of eating (still learning, in fact). The internet holds a lot of info- some of it conflicting. Lots of info is pure opinion. Learning that gluten free and wheat free are not the same.

This cookbook teaches a newbie like me - things needs to know about wheat allergies- and the differences between similar sorts of issues. Had I been diagnosed with this at 20 instead of 70 - I would have been up the creek in terms of resources. I find this book such a help with tips, tricks, things to remember and watch for. It does it in a way that is easy to read and grasp and well- feels rather friendly!! I hate being preached at- this author does not preach- she teaches.

I love many of the recipes and there is a nice variety including desserts!! Life needs desserts!!

I highly recommend this to anyone who has wheat allergies or is trying to deal with inflammation caused by other diseases.

Well done- informative, friendly, well illustrated. Worth the money and your time.

This book is truly for everyone! Not only are the recipes simple and easy to follow but they are delicious! Tonight I made Lemon Cloud Dessert and it tastes just as great as it sounds! With less than 10 ingredients and 3 simple steps it’s hard to mess up. The Everything Wheat-Free Diet Cookbook has so much variety that it can please even the pickiest eaters. This book satisfies cravings from something to munch on to a meal set for a king. With so many recipes in this book you can easily plan weekly meals and there already is a head start in the back of the book. Don’t be hesitant just because its wheat-free, the ingredients are easily found in local supermarkets and tastes better than any other normal meal. My next adventure is to make Hot and Spicy Turkey Meatballs and have it with Spicy Marinara Sauce or Spring Vegetables with Pesto and Pasta!

It looked great when I bought it. Looked at it. Great recipes. Wish it had some things I didn't already know, but great for people just learning how to cook or don't know what tasty food is. I lost it after the first week, so that tells you something.

When I first found out that I had a small allergy to wheat I was overwhelmed with everything I looked up and had no idea where to even begin. This book was super helpful. Not only does it have good recipes to eat, but the beginning of the book lays it out there, gives things that have what in them, things to avoid, and tells exactly what is going on with your body. It really helped me understand what I was trying to avoid. Even though my allergy is slight and I can still have wheat, it has helped be know what to avoid and kept in on the right track to feeling better, plus is good when I dont know what to cook!

This book has simple recipes like APPLE-CINNAMON CREPES and BLUEBERRY PANCAKES, but also has complex recipes for the gourmet like SAUSAGE AND ASPARAGUS RISOTTO and CRAB CAKES WITH GARLIC AIOLI SAUCE
so it has variety, it also has a Five Day Wheat-Free Meal Plan in the back which helped me with my meal planning when I was starting out gluten-free. It is a simple, easy to understand book and very useful. If it had a downside, I would the book being printed in green ink isn't readily readable, and there are NO pictures in the book of the finished products.

It's pretty good - no food data is included - I am interested the cabs as well as no gluten/wheat - so many of the recipes were useless to me. Not the authors fault - mine for not reading more about the book before buying.

Have been wheat-free for about 6 months and was looking for a nice cookbook, but this was not it. I returned it and ordered the "Make it Paleo" book instead. While I'm not on a paleo diet at all, this is still a great cookbook. Lots of pictures for inspiration, and lots of very simple, easy to prepare recipes that suit my desire for healthy, uncomplicated and tasty foods.

This cook book is very thorough and is great for people concerned with healthy living and not just for those with wheat allergies or intolerances although I imagine this would be over the top great for those people. The recipes are simple enough, but really tasty and there is a huge variety of different types of things to make. Lauren Kelly focuses on using healthy ingredients to make meals that the whole family will love. My favorite has to be the entire chapter on Quinoa. I didn't honestly know there were so many ways to use it and we love it!

This was an interesting read which produced a change in the way my wife and I designed our daily menus. What it didn't convey was that following this plan was quite expensive and the results promised were not as evident as expected.
