Amazingly perfect romantic suspense. I did not put this book down once I started it. Story line very well developed and the characters will make you fall in love. Truly enjoyed this author's writing style and am looking forward to reading more. I love that it is a series but also appreciated the fact that it had NO cliffhanger. Perfect amount of suspense and romance . Love it and highly recommend.

* I received an ARC for review *

This was a great start to new series! It was a fast-paced read that kept me hooked from the begining. I would definitely recommend Evidence of Trust. It leaves you excited to read more, with a hea and no cliffhanger! There's no blatant lead-in to the next book, but there are several possibilities - I do hope we get to see what happens with all the characters in the additional books. I can't wait to read the next book!

I really enjoyed the relationship between Britt and Joel. They spent time together and then decided the attraction was more. I liked how they were both willing to change their future plans for the other. Can't wait to see where they end up.

The extra characters were a great bonus. They added to the story without overpowering it. You get to know everyone just enough to want to know more.

Overall this was a fantastic book! I was glad to get an ARC, but it did not influence my review and I do not personally know the author. I was already a fan!

I didn't finish this book. If I am going to read a romance novel, I need to like the protagonists. The hero in this book is a jerk. A woman alone on a camping trip wakes up to find a stranger rummaging through her belongings. She is frightened and tries to run. He tackles her to the ground, pins her down lays on top of her and refuses to let her up. He is a forest ranger but he never identifies himself. He is not in uniform and she just happens to see his badge. He is immediately insulting, arrogant, pushy and rude. As soon as he sees her the second time he stomps up to her, grabs her by the arm and drags her out of an establishment. He declares she has no right to be there tries to drag her to her vehicle to force her to leave. He insults her again before finally finding out a little about her. Now of course in spite of his brutish treatment of her, she is attracted to him.

Now I am sure that he was probably hurt by a woman like her before. He will probably soften up and redeem himself. But I don't think it's cute when heroes start off brutish. And I don't like heroines that are attracted to them, even if she is feisty and can stand up to him.

Brittany is from Chicago and works for her father's corporation. He hopes someday she will take over for him. When her fiance breaks off their engagement her father still promotes him. Britt is furious and she takes off a couple of months to work at her true love, training horses. She goes to work for a friend who has guests during the summer and they go on hike and trail rides and camping trips. She makes sure all the horses are used to being handled and she is very good at her job. This summer, in Colorado, they have had a poacher killing off the elk. Enter Joel Morgan, he is a ranger but he works on the investigations. In this case they are trying to find out who is doing the killing. He is attracted to Brittany but he is here for a short time and so is she and she doesn't do casual affairs. This is a great story with a lot of suspense right up until the end. You will love this one

Evidence of Trust by Stacey Joy Netzel
Colorado Trust Series Book 1
Brittany Lucas chose to spend one last summer working for Mark Jennings on his Colorado ranch. Her father wasn't happy with her choice, then again she never could please the man. And she needed to get away from Daniel, the man who left her behind when he got his promotion. Instead, she gets to deal with the conceited, arrogant, incredibly handsome jerk of a ranger.

Ranger Joel Morgan is looking for the poacher who is mutilating animals inside the park. What he doesn't expect to find is the woman who brings his past back to him and not in a good way. The spoiled little rich girl with all her high tech camping equipment and fancy horse. Has his past messed up his vision of the present? Is Britt really anything like his mind wants to make her to be?

Pride is getting in the way for any romance between Britt and Joel. Along with past hurts. They need to focus on the here and now and catch the poacher. A dangerous person who may be after more than animal trophies to sell. This book definitely held my attention from start to finish. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I'm on page 98 which is the beginning of chapter 13 and it's getting harder and harder to stomach the male main character of this novel, notice I didn't say hero? I've never encountered a more boorish, conceited, hot-headed and judgmental lead.

I happen to agree with another review in regards to his manhandling of the heroine. I don't find it sexy at all. I think I've made up my mind not to go any further reading this one even with the mystery (which really isn't one) of who is illegally killing animals in the park unsolved. I don't see how this guy could ever redeem himself or how the heroine should ever find it in her heart to forgive him for manhandling her but I know the author will allow it, and this won't give me my HEA.

I can't recommend this one and will delete it from my kindle. I'm glad it was free!
