But....The game auto saves based on way points, which I hate. I would much rather have it save to progressive slots on a time basis and the waypoints, or let you save it as you go. I have played the begining of chapter 3 so many times now, I'm just going through the motions. Now its a chore...
It is a third person game. So you are looking at your player from different angles. The left stick controls the players movements and the right stick controls the camera angle. The are plenty of time when you are sneaking around and you can't see anything but the wall, or a hanging curtain or something else that is between the camera view and your player. And this is a game where you have to be able to see around corners and such. Another thing that I don’t like is when you pick up an item, you can assign it to a slot where you can easily retreve it for use. But, if you pick up something like a syringe for health and assign it to a slot, once you use it and run out, if you pick up another one, you have to go through the motion to assign it to a slot again. It doesn’t remember which slot you had it in before. Which, if you need an item fast and didn’t realize you had used it up befroe you picked up a new one, it is not there for you to use.
The main character can run for about 15 feet before he stops and bends over while he catches his breath. This sucks when you are being chased by a horde of bad guys , or being shot at. Hand to hand combat is tedious too. I’m constantly turning my lamp on and off as I attempt to keep the bad guy in front of me.
The graphics are pretty good and the surround sound effects are excellent. I’m looking forward to finishing this game so I can play something else.
if you love survival horror and somewhat enjoyed the movies "Saw" this is the perfect game for you
Atte: I removed 1 star because the way of playing the games in "Chapters" is not that good idea to me
Note: The case arrived ripped, I do not know if its amazon or the shipping company's fault, however the game made it ok.
