EvoShield Protective Gear
EvoShield custom-molding Shields begin soft and flexible, and harden into form-fitted protective shells in 30 minutes. Engineered to withstand high impact under the toughest conditions, EvoShield Protective Gear is the thinnest, lightest, and strongest of its kind.
EvoShield starts out soft. Rip open the foil bag and exposure to air turns the soft gel pad into a hard, protective Shield. Place the Shield over the desired area of protection and it will form to your body shape as it hardens. The entire process only takes about 30 minutes. It’s permanently molded so you can wear it all season long.
Thinner. Lighter. Stronger.
Unlike foam and plastic protection that tend to be stiff and bulky, EvoShield is a patented 1/4-inch thin and lightweight composite material that custom-forms to the body shape as it hardens. Mold your own one-of-a-kind, lightweight battle armor in 30 minutes.
EvoShield’s protective Shields are comprised of multiple ultra-thin protective layers that disperse the force of impact across the surface of the Shield, minimizing felt impact. Dispersion Technology allows EvoShield to minimize the bulkiness.

Very happy with this product.
I thought I was going to have to stop playing baseball as a catcher. I suffered a thumb injury two years ago, took a year off, and came back this year and the first through immediately resulted in serious pain in my thumb like it two 2 years ago! I was immediately worried and looked online for a solution.
Found this and thought it was worth the try for the price. Molding it was pretty easy to do. You just put on your underglove (I use a Palmguard with extra padding), use this thing and wrap it up tight, then put on your regular glove and sit for about 20 minutes. This thing will harden around your thumb, the underglove, and your catcher's mitt. You pull your hand out and it's done and it is guaranteed to fit! Works great.
I have had NO pain at all using this product. I have had foul tips right into my thumb and caught the ball wrong on my hand, but still no pain. This thing really is a Shield!
My only request or thought would be for some kind of loop or string to attach to it. Many times when I take my glove off I forget that it is there. This results in it dropping and I have to find it. I have been lucky so far to find it, but I imagine someday I will not be as lucky. Some kind of string or loop to attach it to your glove would be amazing!
The only thing I'd suggest is to have someone to help you when you take it out of the package and form it to your hand. They provide a roll of gauze that you use to wrap and hold it in place while it hardens, but it was quite a hassle to do that by myself.
You have to move fast as the guard cures when exposed to air, and there is no reforming it at all.
This is a GREAT product, and I know that I will buying more as she grows older.
Did a bunch of research looking for solutions and came across the EvoShield and decided to give it a try in the Small/Youth size. Opened it up, formed it to her thumb and glove as the instructions dictate. You only get one chance, so you make sure you get it right!
Had her intentionally catch a few on the thumb - no more pain reported. She's been using it almost a year now and it's holding up great. If you're getting thumb pain - definitely give this a shot.
Good Product, does not necessarily have to be for a catcher only. Would work well for anyone. First Basemen come to mind as they have some rockets sent their way!
