3.5/5. Not as good as Purple Reign, but pretty much par the course for Future albums/tapes. Fly S**t Only, Ain't No Time, Xanny Family, Lie To Me, Low Life and Programs are all bangers. Doesn't have a huge amount of standouts like previous Future projects, but still a worthy purchase.

Although not as great as his 3 previous albums, it is still worth a copy. I listen to Evol on my daily commute to work and mostly like "ain't no time", "In her mouth", and "LIl Haiti Baby" disappointed that the album is only 39 minutes long. The beats are good to bump to on the boulevard

I still can't figure out what he's saying. Sped up, slowed down, it doesn't really matter. There's so much auto-tune, you'd think Future is ASE Certified. There's no flow, no rhythm, and who the hell knows what he's rapping about because you don't know what he's saying. I mean, props to Future. Somebody's paying him. But these songs that have obviously gone through 256-bit encryption are not for me.

Future is the most overrated artist of the last 10 years easily. I only say 10 because I can't remember who was more overrated because...well, they wouldn't have left a lasting impression if they were overrated. People who like his music really just like bass-heavy trap production. That's the only thing good about his music: the energy of high bass.

And I'm not some hip-hop purity connoisseur telling you what rap SHOULD be. Gucci Mane is better than this guy. Young Dro is better than this guy. Why? Their raps are coherent. Their raps are entertaining. Their words are often witty and make sense. What rap "should be" varies from person to person, but there are some key things going on with Future's music that can't be ignored:

1) You can barely understand him. BARELY. I don't know how you can tout the merits of something you can't understand.

2) When you put on headphones to decipher this trash, you'll notice he doesn't actually SAY anything. It's all regular rap stuff that's been said and repeated 1000 times before. Metaphors? Don't count on it. Alliteration? Nope. Running themes inside the verses? Nah, not here. Just endless 1 liners that are elementary at best, then a celebratory ad-lib like he quoted Shakespeare or something. Is this guy serious. Yes. Yes, he is.

3) Prescription drugs talk is the only difference between him and 50 other rappers; or, more specifically, the fact that he was the first to reference prescription drugs with a mumbly auto-tune rap style.
