So I haven't played this game in about a year. This was a great idea for a game, but it was very poorly executed. There are so few game types that it becomes repetitive very quickly. Also, the whole season pass thing was stupid. Generally when games have a season pass it gives you all of the future DLC for the game. They decided that there was going to be multiple DLC's for this game, but each one was going to have its own season pass that would unlock everything for that "season" of releases, or you could buy everything from that DLC release separately, but for more money. I've never seen a game company do this with their DLC's, and it really ruined it for me. I bought the first season pass expecting to get all of the future DLC content along with it, but that's just not the case.

Conclusion: It was a very fun game for a while (especially when playing with friends), but it gets repetitive very quickly. If you can pick the game up for $10-$20 I say go for it, because that's what I feel the game is worth. Also, the developers have turned their backs on the game because it kind of flopped, so there's not going to be any more support for it in the future.

GREAT game. I recommend this to all of my friends. Very different than any FPS I've played before, and the developers are always doing in-game contests for the players to win free DLC. If you love FPS genre games, and you're looking for something fun, and different, then this is the game for you. The only thing that I am not 100% happy with is that there isn't as much backstory for the characters as I would prefer, but that's ok. Great game. Go get it!

Was looking for a single player experience with the game, I guess I should have known I would be disappointed. I enjoy playing Left 4 Dead single player, however Evolve quickly becomes tedious. I imagine it could be fun playing online with friends, but playing with randos and against the computer just isn't that enjoyable.

This is one of those games that works better on paper than in practice. 4v1 scifi monster hunting action sounds great and all, but the game is so heavily over-thought, over-designed, and convolutedly-balanced that no one –neither the hunters nor the monster– ever quite feels right. The gameplay is in a state of constant change, so the experience teeters between perpetual discomfort and abject futility. Evolve provides an incredible competitive arena for five well-coordinated friends to attempt to outsmart each other, but beyond that specific setup, it has little appeal as either a single player game (since the AI is no fun) or as an online multiplayer game (since teamwork is so critical). It's worth playing with a team, so give it a go if you've got a stable roster, but otherwise, it likely won't be satisfying.

Easily the best game I have played this year...very deep system once you get the hang of it. Here are some tips. When your the monster...Run Run Run un til you at leat evolve to level 2...do not fight a group of hunters until then or you will lose every time. And if your a hunter...Perform your role! For example if your Support do not I repeat DO NOT go on your own and face the monster gun blazing you will die in a matter of seconds instead support your team, shield the people who are attacking the monster and use the air assault from a distance and the laser cutter when you have to get close. Medics need to stay back at all times and heal the people attacking. Assault needs to charge in and do the most damage and Trapper needs to set traps and track monster. Follow these roles and you will enjoy the game as it is not your typical first person shooter. Hope this helps.
