My only warning to future buyers is to check for damages, loose threads, or imperfections before removing the tags and wearing these. The ones I received had frayed strings and a tiny hole in the back. Sadly I already cut off the tags and wore them only to have some else point out these issues later in the night...
I wouldn't have cared if these appeared 4-5 months after my purchase... but when you are spending good money for a "premium" product, you expect a "premium" level of quality control.
In conclusion I'm still going to wear these as they are still my best pair. But I'm annoyed at the fact that I've bought value packs with 5 pairs in the past for the same price, and they were all imperfection free.
I am a smaller guy at 5'6 with 29" waist and purchased the small size. I would really like to see an X-Small as even the small still seem a little billowy for me, even though the elastic for the waist was fine.
I purchased the black originals, though there seem to be a lot of different varieties on the Amazon page. The prices are always fluctuating a lot, so you should probably wait for the right opportunity to stock up on a few pairs. Overall I am plenty pleased and will be buying more in the future!
He needed underwear that:
-wouldn't ride up
-was good at whisking away moisture
-strong against odors/bacteria
After 2 months on the trail and having only 2 pairs of underwear to rotate between, these held up to their promise! I mean with his ability to shower and do laundry limited to maybe once a week, they still look relatively new. They stayed in place, smelled less than one would expect in these conditions, and he had nothing but praise for support and moisture whisking. And he looks pretty good in them too, lol.
After putting them through this test, he plans to slowing switch all of his underwear to ExOfficio.
If you plan on doing anything active, get these. They are worth every penny.
I have NOT been disappointed! These are GREAT!
I bought four (4) pair, thinking I would not likely be able to find these again later if I liked them. I also did not believe the part about people saying you only need two (2) pair. Well, I have opened two (2) pair. I wear one while the other hangs to dry in my bathroom, and I swap out the next day. The other two (2) pair of "fancy draws" are still in their package, waiting for that special day to come along when one of the others wear out ...or I shard myself.
I wear a MEDIUM in Hanes Boxer Briefs and Fruit of the Loom Boxer Brief, so I got a MEDIUM in these ExOfficios Boxer Briefs, too.
In the Hanes Boxer Briefs, I have found the elastic at the bottom of the legs is too tight for my comfortable. I do not like them at all!
The Fruit of the Loom Boxer Briefs go on very snug, but will get loose and fit better after a short time; however, they seem to wear out quickly.
These ExOfficios Boxer Briefs goes on with a little bit of slack, and their fit never changes. Also, being made of nylon, they are also much thinner than either of the other cheaper cotton brands. As a result, these do not "ride up" as much as your shirt tail becomes untucked. That's nice!
The directions instruct to hand wash these in cold water. Generally, I take them into the shower with me to rinse them out. That water is NOT cold (I'm not that tuff). Also, I got lazy once and just threw them in with the laundry, and it was on WARM water. You know what? They're fine. No problems.
My supply has only dwindled because I've lost a couple in moving and travel. I haven't bought or worn anything else for the past 5 years and I doubt I ever will.
A lot of the negative reviews are due to mis-care of the product, which I too have experienced. The primary fabric of these is nylon, a plastic. If you put these in the dryer on high heat they will melt! It won't destroy the product, but you will see significant pilling like you do in the negative reviews. I've been much more careful with newer ones I bought and I have experienced any significant pilling or faults.

These fit well and feel great, and I'm impressed with their ability to resist odors after vigorous exercise or extended use.Read more
