My only warning to future buyers is to check for damages, loose threads, or imperfections before removing the tags and wearing these. The ones I received had frayed strings and a tiny hole in the back. Sadly I already cut off the tags and wore them only to have some else point out these issues later in the night...
I wouldn't have cared if these appeared 4-5 months after my purchase... but when you are spending good money for a "premium" product, you expect a "premium" level of quality control.
In conclusion I'm still going to wear these as they are still my best pair. But I'm annoyed at the fact that I've bought value packs with 5 pairs in the past for the same price, and they were all imperfection free.
These boxer briefs are a bit looser than I'd like. I've noticed that it is rather uncomfortable when running while wearing these as a result.
However, these are great briefs when travelling or going to areas without access to washers and dryers. Just soak, hang them, and wait a few hours to dry.
ExOfficio's Men's Give-N-Go Boxer brief is very comfortable, and it does dry quickly overnight. I've also worn these frequently for at least 4 days at a time before washing using ExOfficio instructions. I'm very happy with them despite the already present pilling (see photos).
These are black so the pilling is hidden by the color, but my other pair which are a lighter color doesn't. I'm not fond of this and is half the reason I deducted 1 star. The other is the odor-fighting feature - it isn't as effective as I experienced. After 1 wear my odor already sticks to the fabric and after 4 days it is noticeably carrying a strong odor. I expected the odor-fighting Aegis micro shield treatment would keep the fabric odorless for a full week. I'm not sure whether this is a defective item or whether the oils produced by my skin coats the fabric quickly and makes the Aegis treatment ineffective after a couple of days. Perhaps this is an individual problem - I was wearing these in South Florida for a while when I tested the odor-control feature. So the other half-star was deducted for the less than amazing odor-control of the fabric.
I'm also deducting the star because on a few occasions, because of the non-absorbent fabric on the fly area, my backflow left a wet spot on my pants. Otherwise, I've been very happy with these underwear and love being able to visit the laundromat fewer times a month. However, with odor-controlling and quick drying undergarments being available almost everywhere at much less expensive prices, I am still questioning whether ExOfficio offers a superior product given my recent experiences.
Pros: Quick drying, Comfortable
Cons: Delicate, Expensive, Poor odor-control
I found the waist and legs to fit quite nicely, and the fabric is comfortable and breathable as advertised. However, from the moment I first tried them on, the cut in the buttocks didn't feel right. It felt as though I had perpetual "creep" going on back there. I thought that perhaps after a few washings, the shape might change enough to alleviate the nuisance - but to no avail. It's unfortunate, because I really looked for to a great pair of skivvies but these just did not deliver enough comfort. It seems as though the section of fabric between the back of the waist and the base of the fly is pulled too taught, causing the garment to bunch up in the intergluteal cleft, providing a subtle, but ever so annoying perma-wedgie.I wear other brands of boxer-briefs with no such malady, so it must be the drawers, right? Bummer, because I really wanted to like these.
