Item received looked suspiciously as already used and rejected. Arrived in a box intended for a different model, some parts showing signs of cosmetic imperfections etc. But we gave it the benefit of doubt thinking that as long as everything functions as it should we can live with it not looking brand new and untouched. First, second and third tests revealed that the unit does not function properly, namely the clock was way out – by as much as over two hours extra time before it turned off when set for six hours run. Such a difference would result in gross over-drying if left unattended. For a highly recommended and rather expensive unit a total disappointment.
For the same price we can buy a new plasticky dehydrator every year for the next fifteen years and not worry that after a year use the plastic trays start cracking and breaking up. At least the digital timer on those may be working properly ...
