The only reason that this book is getting 3 stars instead of the 5 I would have normally have given it is due to the fact that either Wiley Publications (the publisher of the Visual line) or the people in charge of Visual, like Wrox, apparently believes that if you are using an ebook you don't need an index. To say I was unhappy when I discovered this is to put it mildly. While I shall continue to buy the Visual books in ebook format I will no longer make them my first choice, unless they rethink their practice of leaving out the index.
- you must be already quite good in excel
- if you need extensive explanations, this book is NOT for you
- if you have the excel-instinct and intuition this book will support you to go further
- the structure of the book is good for 'impatient' users (as me) who do not like reading a lot but prefer going directly to the 'action'
- to become an excel-macro-guru you might need more advanced materials
