TIP 30: Quickly adjust the width of one or multiple columns
TIP 32: Automatically fill a series of cells with sequential pattern
TIP 54: convert formulas to values
TIP 57: Add a background image to your spreadsheet (I didn't know that was even possible!)
MY FAVORITE TIP: Tip 75: Step away from the problem. Of course, this tip is really a good idea for problem solving in general. I work on a lot of difficult technical "puzzles," and have found this advice to be very good.

♦ Readability: Well-written, well-organized. You can tell the author is an engineer :)
♦ Quality of Figures/Photos: No issues.
♦ Quality of Table of Contents: Good pointers to key sections.
♦ Quality of Editing: I like the layout with the way like tips are kept together. Good writing style, no errors that I can see.
♦ Thoroughness of Index: n/a
♦ Usefulness: Very helpful book in many ways. There were quite a few tips that helped me.

At the end of the book there are several really thoughtful sections:
Appendix I: Symbol Shortcuts (alt codes)
Appendix II: Excel shortcuts
Appendix III: Tools and Resources. This section includes links to lots of other resources and other helpful reference books.
