This is a great book for anyone who loves barbecue. I could eat smoked and grilled barbecue food 365 days a year. There are 50 recipes that are simple and well explained. Ingredients for the recipes are ones that most people have in their pantry or spice cabinet anyway. There are recipes for snacks and appetizers, main course, veggies and sides, and a getting creative section with desserts and unique combinations of ingredients. An entire meal can be made on the grill. This is especially nice for areas that have very hot summers. Instead of heating up your home and running up your electric bill, simply pull out the exclusively kamando cookbook and cook your meal outside.

I was recently given a second hand kamado grill by a friend who "never used it," and I'm quickly realizing his loss is my gain. While I do have extensive grilling experience, I've always used the traditional model Weber with those classic Kingsford charcoal briquettes. After a few attempts to sort out the kamado grill on my own, with mixed success/results, I decided to buy this book for culinary inspiration. The introduction gives a nice overview of cooking techniques involving kamado grills, and includes little sections about various supplementary tools, meat cooking temperatures, and fire safety. In addition it also has recipes for many types of rubs and seasoning which I found helpful and delicious.

Now, moving on to the main section of the book, the recipes. The first thing that struck me was the variety of foods and recipes provided. There are sections for appetizers, main courses, veggies and sides, and a section entitled 'getting creative.' The foods range from pork, beef, and chicken, to wilder dishes including salsa, french toast, and grilled peaches. Each recipe that I have tried has been delicious and tender, and, as a father, I appreciate the liberal use of alcohol (beer, whiskey, etc.) that the author recommends using. Each recipe is easy to follow, and I'm never unclear as to what to do. Ultimately, I am using my grill a lot, and eating delicious food in the process. Great book!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to give you my impression of "Exclusively Kamado" by Paul Sidoriak. When Paul told me this book was available, I immediately ordered a copy so I could check it out for myself.

This book opens with a good run down of the basics of using a Kamado grill and then gives you some excellent seasoning recipes to get your mouth watering early! After you read through these basic operational instructions and seasoning blend recipes Paul gets you right down to business with the meat of this book which is the recipes! Most of the recipes in this book are accompanied by excellent photos to show you what these dishes look like. The photos are excellent and make me want to try quite a few of these recipes myself! The recipe sections of this book are broken down into Snacks and Appetizers, Main Events, Veggies and Sides, followed by an interesting section called "Getting Creative with the Kamado." This final section contains some "outside the box" recipes for you to try on your Kamado grill!

I have earmarked about 10 recipes from this book that I plan to try very soon and I'm definitely looking foward to it! As a serious Kamado enthusiast, I'm always interested in books that are geared toward OUR favorite outdoor cooking tool!

I'm always interested in reading new cooking techniques and Exclusively Kamado by Paul Sidoriak drew my attention. Sidoriak opens his narration talking about how he started cooking and leads us to his current cooking of today, which is primarily centered around the kamado.

A Kamado is a ceramic grill that can apparently do just about everything based on the pictures and recipes included in the book. There is braising, broiling, baking, deep-frying, grilling, pan-frying, poaching, roasting, sautéing, searing, stir-frying, and toasting. Amazing that one piece of equipment (of course with the appropriate accoutrements) can do so much. Once a saw the recipes, it all made sense.

I've always been indifferent about grilling because I associate it with bbq, but Sidioriak changed my mind. Almost every recipe in his book I can really get behind to enjoy myself or make for a friend/family member. My favorites recipes are the Zesty No Fry Buffalo Chicken Croquettes, Duck Confit Egg Rolls, Grilled Caprese Salad Bites and the Turkey Ball Dinner. There are so many more recipes that Sidoriak offers for any type of pallette. From steaks, pizza, vegetables to puff pastry baked brie, the kamado can give the cook exactly what they want. There is a little bit of effort, but no more than stove preparation, but with the added benefit of more flavor and shorter cooking times because of the kamado's design.

Wow!!!! Beautiful cookbook with lots of fantastic and delicious twists on old favorites as well as many new and drool worthy recipes (and pictures)! I was immediately drawn to all the options in the table of contents and what a great value the book was. I have already made a bunch of the recipes including the buffalo chicken croquettes (drool), moscow mule pork chops (instant favorite) and the bacon pistachio pizza (OMG DELISH!).

The book includes some awesome seasoning recipes as well as fantastic tips and very easy to follow instruction. I could go on for days about how much I am enjoying cooking my way through this book. The best thing is I don't even have a Kamado. I am now looking at purchasing one which is how I found the cookbook.

Making mini muffin tin corn dogs tonight--YUM!
