About the Author
RR Haywood is an Amazon All Star author. He is the creator of the bestselling series The Undead, a self-published British zombie-horror series that has become a cult hit with a readership that defies generations and gender.
Living in an underground cave, away from the spy satellites and invisible drones sent to watch over us by the BBC, he works a full-time job, has four dogs and lots of tattoos. He is also a certified, badged and registered hypochondriac, for which he blames the invisible BBC drones.
Should you not have a drone to hand, you can find him at www.rrhaywood.com.

The plot twists and turns are ably managed as characters struggle with the limits of their particular time travel physics. Some reviewers may be frustrated by the plot loose ends remaining at the end of Book 2. With less skilled authors, I've had that reaction myself. But in this case, I feel more motivation to read the last of the books and complete the story.
Due to sexual content and explicit violence in some scenes, some parents may consider this series to be for adults rather than younger teens.
If you plan on reading this book - the first in the trilogy is an absolute must, You will be lost without it. After reading the first book I was not shore if I would recommend it to someone, it was a bit disjointed (perhaps by design) and clearly ended like a book twice as long that was split to make you buy the follow up, I hate that. But this book makes amends - it ends without needing to read the next one. The best part is that I will buy the third book because it is a good story and not because I have been swindled into buying a book in three installments.
This is not a stand-alone novel, you'll want to read Extracted before reading this one. But you will not be sorry you invested the time. Heart stopping scene after scene move this mind-bending plot along at a furious pace.
Oh? You like character driven plots instead? No worries, you WILL fall in love with each and every one of these individual, unique characters. They will engage you at first meeting and wrap you around their little finger (one way or another). ;-)
My only complaint is that it's over. NO NO, not the story, but I did finish book 2. I really wanted it to go on and on and on. Of course, part of that was wanting to continue listening to Carl Prekopp's excellent narration. Carl brings this story to life in your car, living room, jogging trail, or any location of your choosing.
If you like techno-thrillers like I do, don't miss out on this series.
This one is definitely not for those who can not tolerate violence or get offended by some rather crude language.
There is a new leader in the bunker in the far distant past with the only neighbors being dinosaurs--and she is going to take charge one way or another, The fight scene in the Cavendish mansion is horrific--a bloodbath really as the team is determined to get the inventor of the Time Travel to safety. All the countries in the world are attempting to get this invention--they have to be stopped. Will the five who were extracted moments before death be able to stop them?
What comes next? Guess I will have to read the third book in this series to find out!

Let's start with the character development. You have an extremely intelligent insurance investigator, a brutally honest beautiful leader, a war machine, a rogue intelligence operative, and essentially an aging super spy. That's without getting into the supporting characters. All these characters were masterfully development and show that the author has a knack for engineering chemistry between his characters where its seemingly impossible.
Then you have the action sequences that are phenomenal. Couple that with a realistic interpretation of science fiction that is explained so simp!y it makes you say, "Well I could write that." But has seemingly never been explained in that way.
I can go on and on, but I'll just conclude by say that my hat goes off to you Mr. Haywood and I eagerly look forward to your next book.

Of course this is all entirely pointless if you bought the first book, because you'll already know it's a great story and you're just hopping straight to the next volume.
If you haven't read the first book then what are you doing here? Go read the first one!
The British government has found out time travel exists and will stop at nothing to secure the device and the inventor, even if that means the rest of the world will nuke Britain out of existence before they can use it. The only thing in their way is our team of heroes, now led by former intelligence chief Miri; dedicated, devious and completely ruthless. An unknown group saves them from an attack by overwhelming numbers of British security services and army. Caught up in the mayhem is Tango Two, a bemused British Secret Service agent and accidental prisoner, who can't understand why this group have no idea of how to mistreat a prisoner or why her own side wants her dead.
The reader will work out what is going to happen before most of the characters. The interactions between them are interesting and the action, when it comes, swift and vicious. Until the end, the time travel is mostly incidental to the storytelling, but the last chapter shows what a master-tactician can do with a time machine. Not sure where the final part of the trilogy will go, but these two parts together would probably make a good film.
The highest praise I can give this book is that I delayed starting a new book in my favourite series to finish it and then read most of it again. This could become like my favourite book that I've been regularly revisiting for 30 years because I like the characters.
This book is a slight improvement over the first, mostly because of one half-decent character - Miri.
Safa really is the worst character ever.
I mean, Safa is amazing. We know that because the author tells us. Constantly. Safa is the best. Highly trained, fit, exceptional at what she does. We are told time and time again.
The fact that she won't follow any orders, is rude, disrespectful, indiscreet, her first reaction to anything is to hit, kick or throttle somebody - she's a total mission liability, and Miri is apparently happy to ignore all this.
Despite the fact that Miri is amazing. We know that because the author tells us. Constantly. Miri is the best. Always 10 steps ahead, playing the game, considers every detail, commands respect (apart from Safa and any of the other team members actually, who blithely ignore everything she ever says).
Still, Miri does at least ad some direction to the plot so it isn't all constant training, watching films and the endless "hilarious top bantz" between the team.
The dialogue is excruciating as in the first book. I'm no prude when it comes to swearing, but there is literally a page of single word insults for a whole page - no descriptive, just the words. Boring and annoying!
The plot does move on, but basically only one thing happens throughout the whole book, and it's all a build up to that point.
OK, now to dive into the third, and thankfully final, book.
