Tony Thorne MBE, Author
The author has a clear knowledge of covert ops tactics and an instinctive knack for gripping, action plots. I could barely put it down. Execution of Justice is a creative and realistic espionage thriller.
Major Jeffery Benedict, US Army Ranger, Combat Veteran
Execution of Justice is an action-packed tale of intrigue, filled with characters that jump directly off the page into the reader's imagination. Dent weaves a story of intrigue and violence.

Definitely a five-star indie read. Not only is "Execution of Justice," written in such a way that the reader is shown enthralling action scenes with believable insights into special ops, it also spreads beyond the usual scope of Middle-Eastern thrillers. Narcotics, kidnap, politics and prison all find a home within the narrative and each of them contributes to a tale you'll thoroughly enjoy. If you adore espionage laced with local crime, you'll certainly fall in love with this novel.
Dent was also in the military during he second half of the 20th century and he says that "Execution of Justice," was inspired by a delusional veteran who falsely believed he was a secret assassin. Let's hope these delusions weren't the products of memories; I'd hate to learn that the chaos and savagery in "Execution of Justice" is true!
Stakes: Patrick Dent has crafted this story to present the consequences of the protagonist's failure in a grand and threatening way.
Conflict: The final battle in this novel is born through wit and excitement. You'll be dying for the conclusion by the time you stumble upon it.
Backstory: The character's pasts are woven through "Execution of Justice," to shove you towards sympathising with violent people.

From the Author
In Execution of Justice, I wanted to add deep characterization to the military covert operations genre, exploring concepts such as: revenge vs. forgiveness, universal vs. relative morality, self-discovery and the roots of what makes each of us who we are. Family, abuse, trauma, personal loyalties, betrayals, and patriotic obligations conflict and eventually form the amalgam that is our protagonist, John Drake.
