WOWZA!! I have just been on a rollercoaster in the business world of Pneuma Inc. Ellis Thorne is the CEO. Picture this, tall, handsome features, hard as stone body, looks impeccable in a suit, sexy glasses that shift down his nose sometimes, intelligent business man with no sex life. OMG!! I know but who has time for sex when he's so busy running his company and he's all for the environment. The man is a God.
His right hand woman Beverly Neumann keeps his life in order at the office and bless her heart really tries for him to have some kind of life but the man just won't settle down. She comes up with this secret weapon called ESC. What is that? well dear readers to find out you must read. Beverly wants to retire, she is not getting any younger and insists he finds someone new. She has the perfect woman to take over. Ellis has no choice but to hire someone when something terrible happens. He is at a loss, poor man looks like he hasn't slept in years. Hello Dee Henning, she is a smart savvy business woman, who is a head hunter and very good at it. When she is offered a job at Pneuma Inc she is beyond excited, its her dream job. Unfortunately not everyone is happy about her becoming the new executive assistant. Welcome spiteful, selfish, cold hearted Tally Barnes. Let me tell you this author has written Tally's character exceptionally well because by God I hated this woman. Dee more than proves she is up for the job but when someone is out to ruin you it makes things very difficult. Ellis and Dee work along side each other very well, they have a mutual understanding, meaning ESC. This book has took my breathe away. I always think no one can top the last book I read but this book is outstanding. I can't wait to start book 2.
Identity Crisis Book 2
Time to breathe. This book was epic. Garett Thorne, the brother of famous CEO, Ellis Thorne is an amazing man. He's been writing for years under a pen name. Garrett really wants to keep this all a secret but his agent and publisher has other ideas. He is up for an award and they want him to reveal himself. He comes up with a plan to hire someone to be the famous writer Tess Delaney. Perfect plan, right? If only all plans of deceit actually worked out. Kendra Davis, best friend of Dee, who's now engaged to Ellis Thorne, wants to work for Tess, she's good at what she does and will stop at nothing to meet the woman who writes these fantastic novels. Kendra no stranger to taking on new identities, gets an interview with Tess or is it Garett and is Garett meeting Kay or Kendra. Obviously Garett and Kendra already know each other and really dislike each other, so this made for a very interesting read. There's problems and complications from the minute Tess Delaney comes out of hiding. When she finds herself being stalked. things turn nasty. Many celebrities have their share of harmless fans messaging and following them around. When messages become more serious such as death threats, it's really time to get some extra help. Kendra acts all tough and actually is a strong woman but things from her past take over her emotions. Garett is an absolute talented hottie. I've laughed and loved the romance in this book. At one point I was even shouting at my kindle, like the characters in this book could actually hear me lol. This was brilliantly written. I'm ready for book three in this trilogy
The Exhibition Book 3
Brilliant end to an amazing trilogy. So many fantastic characters. This book tells us about Stacie Emerson, the life long friend of the Thorne brothers and Harris Walker the best friend of Kendra and Dee all characters from book one and two.
Stacie comes across as a strong willed making the impossible happen in the art industry. She runs an art gallery that she saved from bankruptcy. She works incredibly hard and has succeeded where others have failed. All this has not happened without its consequences. It has been beyond tough. Terence Jamison has made sure Stacie did things the hard way. The man is pure evil, he controls Stacie, he will never let her live a normal happy life. He wants to possess her, own her and he actually believes that he does but she is strong in mind and older now.
Harris Walker is a photographer, a very talented photographer and Stacie wants his photo's in her gallery. Harris however dislikes Stacie and doesn't trust her from the time he meets her. Everyone tries to explain to him that Stacie knows what she is doing and he should learn to trust her. He starts to realise that they could be right.
Stacie and Harris start to get along but this puts them both in danger. Terence Jamison will not allow Stacie to be with any other man.
No body really knows what Stacie has had to endure over the years. Her close friends can not believe what she has been through at the hands of Terence Jamison.
Things are never as they seem and I was on the edge of my seat reading.
I have been on a brilliant journey reading about all the characters in this trilogy. Thank you Grace Marshall
The political moves behind the scenes regarding the affiliation of three companies on a project that would be financially beneficial to each plus the clash of individual ambitious personalities seeking their own agendas provides a fascinating scenario. ESC, of course, is at the root of the conflict. One scene about angry sex in the wilderness was very descriptive. Great details on situations make it seem real. Great story of love between Ellis and Dee. Five Stars.
IDENTITY CRISIS, #2
Outstanding thriller as tangled as a nest of serpents. All is not as it seems. Characters are not always as they appear to be. A lot of deception regarding the identities of several people. The nerves and emotions involved in maintaining the chicanery is very entertaining. When Garrett and Kendra get into arguments, the internal dialogue in Garrett's head is so amusing. Besides the attraction for each other and the fear of getting in too deep, our couple faces the mystery of Kendra's past as well as the threats of a stalker. Just when the mystery seems solved, a breathtaking turn takes place and triples the suspense. A complicated tale but oh so exciting. Five Stars.
THE EXHIBITION, #3
Magnificent conclusion to this three part series. Stacie and Harris takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions with mystery, suspense, wild sex, cruelty, manipulation and passion. Jameson is the perfect villain that we love to hate. Stacie is an amazingly strong woman with an incredible ability for planning the perfect "pay back" on all levels. While Stacie and Harris had their own individual fears of commitment issues in the beginning to deal with, it was minor compared to the tremendous burden Stacie shouldered that provided the intense excitement and suspense of the plot, especially the latter part of the book leading to the breathtaking finale. Five Stars.
