5.0 out of 5 stars Great bike for a good price
By pawsed on January 11, 2017
This is a very quiet exercise bike, sturdy on both carpet and wood floor. The seat is a bit hard, as seems to be the case for most bikes, but seems to be softening as I use it. Computer is easy to use while riding, and shuts off automatically after a few minutes of non-use. It remembers where you left off, so you can stop and then resume...to reset your numbers hold the mode button down for a few seconds. The odometer keeps a running total of miles, even after you reset (it resets if the batteries are removed).
I had considered buying the older, lighter, version of this bike and read the questions people had, so I will try to answer them proactively for this new model. I took photos while I was putting it together to show the 6 steps which I will include here. I am a 5' 3" woman in her late 40s, with experience assembling furniture (such as IKEA). All tools needed are included. It came carefully packed in Styrofoam (note: some parts are tucked into pockets in the packaging) in a box with 3 sets of plastic straps to make carrying easy (even though box weight is about 65 lbs). Hardware and tools are packaged together and labelled by step # which makes them easy to find when needed. Taking my time, assembly was rather straight-forward and took me less than 1 1/2 hrs.
The seat bottom has 2 sets of holes to install more forward (for us shorter folks, 5'1"- 5'6") or more backward (for taller, 5'7"-6'3"). The difference between the sets of holes is 1". The seat back has 3 possible installation spots, with a total 2" difference between all the way forward or all the way back.
The seat bottom can be adjusted up and down with a pull-out knob. From the seat to the pedal at its furthest point the measurements for each setting are 28", 29", 30", 31", and 32". At 5'3", I was most comfortable with the lowest setting, where my knees stay bent throughout the motion, but could still easily use at the middle setting. At the highest setting I could only use if I sat up straight in the front of the seat. To figure out if you will fit this bike my suggestion would be to measure yourself, standing in whatever shoes you will bike in, from the floor to your crotch.
The machine's footprint is about 20" wide by 40.5" long. The top of the seat bottom is 25" off the floor at the lowest setting. It is easy to get on and off this bike, and being able to lean against a seatback makes it more comfortable than an upright bike. My first try I did an easy ride for 1 hr at the #2 tension setting, for 9 miles and 215 calories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend and perfect for my health issues

Absolutely delighted with my new exercise bike. With 2 people it was easy to put together. Some steps might be difficult with only 1 but not impossible. Its comfortable, sturdy and very well made. It was packaged well with no damage at all. Very impressed with the quality and it is very easy to use. I have mobility problems and suffer with fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis and I feel this bike is achievable. We only have limited space and really struggled to find a recumbent exercise bike so delighted this fits perfectly. Would highly recommend. Very very happy
