Format: Hardcover
Currid combines extensive knowledge of ancient Egyptian culture, an ability to mine the nuggets of the Hebrew text, and a redemptive-historical approach to the Scriptures to produce a very insightful and practical book for both trained theologians and laymen. This is a verse-by-serve treatment of the text, with pastoral application at the end of each section. He presents the contest between the God of the Hebrews, and Pharoah and the rest of the Egyptian pantheon, as an extension of the conflict between the "seed of the serpent" and the "seed of the woman" prophesied in Genesis 3. I look forward to a second volume on the remaining chapters of Exodus.

Excellent resource for those studying Exodus. Currid has a way of taking the ancient language and making it make sense and come alive today.
